Funda-Mantels is a fireplace mantel manufacturer with over 30 years of experience in the fireplace and woodworking industry. Funda-Mantels has the capability and knowledge to bring all of your fireplace mantel design ideas to life, and will expertly attend to all of your individual needs. We pride ourselves in our workmanship as well as our customers' satisfaction. We employ skilled craftsmen and use the finest materials, so you can be proud to say your mantelpiece is Made in the USA! Funda-Mantels has a full line of fireplace mantels from classic, traditional, and vintage to contemporary. Every fireplace mantel ordered is unique. If you want to combine features from different mantels to create your own unique mantel design you can. We believe our customer should be able to purchase a fireplace mantel made to fit their fireplace as opposed to a mass-produced mantel they must try to accommodate, without any additional expense. This kind of customer care is one of the reasons we have been so successful. Another reason is we have 25 different Funda-Mantels styles for you to choose, but we can make ANY fireplace mantel--just supply a picture or sketch. Funda-Mantels custom wood mantels are made by true craftsmen piece by piece—not programmed on a CNC overhead router for mass production where all corners are rounded not clean and crisp like Funda-Mantels. Funda-Mantels are made in one piece fully assembled, not in pieces for you to try to fit together.

We've always wanted a fireplace and this winter we decided to do it. We ordered our Mendota 54" fireplace from Taylor's Hearth and Leisure in Franklin Square. Taylor's made sure that every aspect of this project was stress free. Part of the purchase, included the mantel. Taylor's uses Funda-Mantels. We loved the samples in the showroom, so that decision was simple. We decided we wanted to have built-ins on either side of the fireplace. We didn't want to deal with more contractors, so we decided to have Funda-Mantels do the entire job. Frank was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we truly respected his advice and opinions. After a few back and forths with color choices, the time to build everything and scheduling, Frank and Cory delivered. Within hours, we saw our vision come to life. They were friendly, knowledgeable and when they were done, you wouldn't know they were there. I absolutely LOVE my new den. I have already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

We were lucky enough to be referred to Cory at Fundamentals when we were re-doing our fireplace and needed a new mantel. We had a picture from the internet of what we wanted and Cory was able to replicate what we wanted including stain color perfectly. His workmanship was first class and we could not have been happier with how it came out. His customer service was wonderful as well, always willing to answer our questions and even offering to come back to his shop after hours to accomadate our working schedules if we needed to see stain color samples (luckily his pictures were enough). I would highly recommend Fundamentals if you choosing someone to make you a custom mantel/shelf.

Frank was one of the best contractors that I have worked with. From design and planning to construction, Frank was great! He built my wife’s dream fireplace with built in bookshelves. i couldn’t be happier. if you want a high quality product from an honest and amazing craftsman, then Frank from funds-mantels is your guy.

Unreal work!! Cory came over to measure on a Monday, while he was I mentioned I was having a party the following Saterday. With that he told my wife and I he can rush it for us, knowing how much it would mean to my wife. The mantel came out perfect exactly what we pictured and explained.

We needed a mantel in a relatively short amount of time and nothing we found was the quality that we were looking for. We found Funda-Mantels online and Frank reached out to us immediately after our inquiry. The workmanship and materials that Frank used for our mantel exceeded our expectations, and was complete within a three week timeframe. Frank even agreed to meet us along the NYS Thruway for a hand delivery. We could not have been happier.

We were looking for someone to recreate a mantel with a tv unit on top. Not only did they exceeded our expectations but it was better than the photo I gave them and we absolutely love our mantel! It was such a pleasure dealing with Frank. He was so professional and went above and beyond to make sure everything worked out perfectly. I strongly recommend Funda Mantels!
