Denise was a such joy to work with. I originally sought her out when we were in an extensive remodel, and my home was gutted to the studs. She effortlessly designed the lighting placement for my entire home and gave me vision for the layout for our Primary bathroom. I was so impressed with her that I hired her back to do comprehensive room layouts and custom furniture pieces when it was time to decorate. Denise was very helpful during our remodel. We were searching for an interior designer that could utilize our artwork from our travels and some of our existing furniture into a new, contemporary design, and Denise did a great job. Denise has been a wonderful designer to work with – especially when you are communicating from the other side of the Pacific Ocean. She has been able to oversee and supervise the remodeling from the gutting, construction, and on to the final design making a simple, dark home transform to a bright , beautiful, and functional home. She has great communication skills – providing storyboards for every room which made it easy to envision what the outcome would be from afar. She organized schedules for showrooms to visit when I was in town which made the process easy and productive. The quality of home products she recommended were of high quality and tasteful. Denise’s extraordinary vision in design is impressive, she has made the whole home design journey worry free, and the end result has exceeded my expectations.

I have known Denise for several years now. She is personable, honest, hard working and dependable. She is also incredibly talented. She helped me to find my style and design my master bedroom and sitting area. It's a fairly large room, approx. 1500 sq. feet with a view of a Lake. She came up with ideas I loved. We visited the Design Center together to select fabrics and unique furniture pieces and lightening. Then she brought it all together with unique accessories. She has years of experience to make gathering all these things to work together and look amazing. The one thing I love the most about my bedroom is the giant artwork, it's so whimsical, fun and goes perfectly with my style and living on a lake.

I live far from the home I was redesigning, renovating and refurbishing. To address this potentially anxiety-producing complication, Denise kept in close touch with the general contractor and with me and made the process seamless and as easy (and fun) as possible! The Group understood and respected my design taste. When my choices didn't make sense, they clearly explained why and found excellent alternatives. Their familiarity with various local and wonderful vendors and showrooms facilitated the process; the scheduling and delivery of my many decisions on flooring, walls, hardware, furnishing etc. was perfect and met my needs as well as those of the general contractor. Their timely efforts resulted in a smooth coordination with the renovation that was underway. All aspects of the work was completed on time and within my budget and I am very very pleased with the outcome. I can't recommend the Gilbert Design Group enough!

What a gem! Not only is Denise a professional, creative and excellent designer, she is an amazing person as well! She goes that extra mile to create a new design look for her clients and will help figure out a quick solution if problems should arise. She has transformed my house into a more updated version of what I thought I was looking for, and we are so happy. Denise loves her job and it shows!

Gilbert Design Group is amazing. We engaged Gilbert Design Group to completely redo our newly purchased a 1968 home in a beach community. Denise (from Gilbert Design Group) and her assistant Taylor were professional, efficient while being creative at the same time. Our house looks amazing. A couple of points that I think Denise really excelled at were: 1. she is accessible and easy to work with; 2. she has an amazing 'eye' for transforming an existing space into something that fit the needs and taste of our family to a tee; 3. she has an real eye for design that is current yet classic at the same time; 4. she never tried to upsell us unnecessarily. You won’t regret hiring Denise for your next design project. Our kitchen turned out fabulous. Denise was instrumental in resourcing a contractor and cabinet maker for us. We had to leave mid project for a month leaving the protect in her hands . Upon our return , the protect was completed. Denise assisted me in finding cabinet pulls, back splash , faucets , granite, lighting and accessories. Denise is punctual , professional, personable and very creative . I highly recommend Denise for your next project .

Denise did a wonderful job helping us turn our guest bedroom into a guest master - complete with a wine bar! She helped us with design ideas, materials selection, contractor referrals, and decorations. She had great ideas and worked with us closely to ensure the project completed as we envisioned! We hope to work with her again on future projects!

What can we say about Denise.... SHE's AMAZINGLY TALENTED! not to mention a wonderful human being! Maybe it is most apt to start by telling you how unbelievably happy we are with our home's transformation and that Denise helped us to create our dream surroundings from the larger construction and function aspects to creating a sanctuary that gives us all the feels! Not a single detail gets by her and nothing was missed! Denise knows what she is doing and I cannot tell you how valuable it is to have a designer that understands construction and is keen to see through every detail. I have found that Denise has the ability to hone in on any particular style and create fabulousness! Once she understands your vibe, it is off to the races. It was so fun to have her creativity bringing new ideas, and samples, and finishing touches to us throughout the project. We felt like we had good taste and cool ideas and that we just needed a little help implementing, but there was NO WAY that we could have ever created what she helped us create. She took our vision beyond expectations! We still walk around our home and comment how much we love this or that, or certain rooms, or lighting. She gets inspired and makes suggestions and they were always elements that we later sat back and said, "wow" An example was changing the spindles on our staircase and staining it black. Who knew what an impact that would make! We are grateful to have finished before the quarantine so we have an excuse to just stay home in our literal paradise and enjoy it. Denise knows exactly where to go and who to call to make just about anything a reality! Her network of professionals, from flooring, rugs, lighting, decor, furniture, hardware, accessories, wallpaper hangers, art creators, etc. is top notch. She was always aware of our budget and expectations and was able to offer advice as to where to invest and where a less expensive alternative would suffice. Denise was amazing. She helped us update our 20 year old home with an almost full house facelift. She did an entire kitchen remodel, new laundry room, family room and bathrooms. Gilbert Design did an amazing job helping us transform our living space to fit our taste and furniture. Our new home was painted brown and and seemed so dark despite the many windows and natural light. She helped us create our dream space. We had her involved in all aspects from choosing paint colors, pillow and window fabrics, rugs, fireplace tile, custom built in shelves and art work. She was able to bring in our outdoor colors to help make the spaces flow seamlessly. She was efficient with her time, was quick to respond and had the project completed pretty quickly! Upon completion we had a wonderful bright and modern yet comfortable space. We now love our new home even more!

She stepped into our overwhelming "gut & renovate" total home project with the confidence and expertise we so desperately needed. She is a delight to work with too, which is so important for any project, but especially a lengthy one. We moved into our new home with vaulted ceilings and sunlit rooms. We were excited to start with a clean slate. Looking at our old existing décor and furniture, it appeared we had rushed a "Rent a Center" at midnight, in the dark! We needed help. To make it even harder, we didn't agree on how to start or the look! We are a "beachy" family so we knew we wanted warm sand tones and ocean blues. We contacted Denise and she was great, we liked her immediately. She helped us work within our budget and guided us room by room. She showed us furniture and décor, items we would not have thought of on our own, and helped us create the beachy theme we wanted. We love our entry and dinning room! Denise helped us find a beautiful white Capiz shell chandelier to go over our new large tan unfinished dinning room table and custom sea blue high backed chairs. She connected the rooms with the same tan and blue accents to create the look and feel we were looking for. She recommended these really cool driftwood picture frames to accent our family room. Denise also helped us create our picture wall to line our upstairs hallway with the first letter of our last name in ocean blue surrounded by all black framed family pictures. Soon as you come upstairs, the picture wall is the first thing you see, stunning! We would definitely recommend Denise to design your home. She's super easy to work with; Denise has great insights and connections to make your house your dream home.

We're completing our home remodel with Denise Gilbert, she was able to take our thoughts on our home style to a better direction, giving us more more than we expected. I have had the pleasure of working with Denise on two different occasions and look forward to working with her in the future. Denise took over a project when my former design professional fell ill and couldn't finish a project. Denise was able to pull together and finish a dining room, art instillation, and down stairs powder room beautifully, She helped make a difficult transition easy for me and pulled together my home beautifully in a very emotional time. The second time I called Denise was when I had a leak in an upstairs bathroom that came thru my downstairs ceiling causing water damage to the majority of my downstairs. The insurance underwriters declared my downstairs flooring a loss. Denise helped me replace my complete downstairs flooring with my insurance proceeds with my dream flooring, brought in wonderful professionals and oversaw the installation. Many years ago Denise decorated my master bedroom and bathroom and did such a phenomenal job that I hired her without hesitation to do a complete interior remodel of our new dream home. We hired Denise as soon as we entered escrow so that we would be ready to start the day we closed. The house had beautiful “bones” but the interior was not at all our style. Our redesign consisted of redecorating every inch of this 6500 square foot house, from a very heavy, ornate, fancy and dark house to what is now a beautiful, light, casual and comfortable coastal home. She absolutely nailed our vision! She threw herself into our project tirelessly from day one and followed it through to every last detail, often at personal sacrifice. The scope of work included refinishing virtually every cabinet, changing countertops, hardware, wall colors, light fixtures, wood floors, wallcoverings, every piece of furniture and all of the accessories. Her taste is exquisite, and she managed to blend my vision while still respecting the house’s strong Spanish/Mediterranean style. She is extremely detailed oriented, planned and followed through every step of the way, interacted with my contractor and her very excellent sub-contractors and managed me and my demanding husband. I spent quite a bit of time with Denise in showrooms and on-site and her fun and delightful personality made the process a joy. Denise managed to get this entire job done on time and on budget and the end result is beyond what I could have ever hoped for.

Denise is a skilled interior designer and a pleasure to work with. She has been helping us with the remodel of our house over the past few years. We moved to another city for a number of years and turned our primary residence into a rental while we were gone. When it was time to move back into our house, there was a significant amount of deferred maintenance and it was outdated. We told Denise that there was a good chance the house would be a rental again and that we wanted it look nice but not be over the top. Denise did an amazing job redesigning the kitchen and master bedroom. We had walls knocked out, windows put in, cabinets designed… She always kept in mind that it might be a rental again; so when I fell in love with an expensive granite for the kitchen she kept me cognizant of the overall goal of what we were trying to do. She cares about her subs and likes things done “the right way”. When I started to feel overwhelmed with things, she was happy to take over. One of the things I like most about Denise is that she gives you her honest opinion. Denise is fun and efficient to shop with on the decorating end – or you can give her direction and she will shop for you. I find her knowledgeable in the details which is important to me. Denise is currently helping us on the redesign of our living room with built-ins. I would definitely recommend Denise for big and small projects - she is a PRO!

Denise was very professional and fun to work with. She took the ideas that I had for the look and made it happen. She is extremely talented and knows how to change an entire look in a room. My daughters room was so adorable and one of my favorite rooms in the house. I loved everything she designed and picked out. She thinks of every detail down to where outlets should go. Denise is great to work with. She has redesigned my primary home with top of the line furnishings, custom woodworking and finishes and a second home which budget required some shopping at consignment stores. She is a professional at either end of the spectrum. She is upfront and honest with her opinion of what would look best. Her experience designing model homes shows through both my homes. Love, Love, Love Denise! I have worked with Denise and she has worked on several of my homes. I feel like I have relatively good taste and feel I could do it on my own but she takes ordinary to extraordinary. Denise helped me completely remodel my dessert home last year and furnish it and I am so so happy with everything and even consulted with me on designing the pool.
