We are thankful that you were pleased with the first two projects that Gilday Renovations completed at your home. However, the design for the third project was started prior to the onset of the Covid Pandemic, then delayed until after the availability of Covid vaccines. That period in the economy was hallmarked by issues in manufacturing including lay-offs, retirements, rehiring, which resulted in quality inconsistencies and delays in product delivery.
Regarding the timing of the project, the project allowed approximately 9 months, with grace period, to reach Substantial Completion. The project started in April and was substantially complete with the final inspection in January (9 months). The Punchlist of approximately ten items included replacement parts that were delivered over the next several months.
Remodeling during the Pandemic was full of unprecedented challenges for all involved. Nevertheless, we are gratified that you are pleased with the new kitchen and laundry room and we only wish that the process could have been more comfortable for you.
Please contact us in the future, should we be able to assist you with any issues that may arise during the warranty period or beyond. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Gilday Renovations
