Giuseppe Lunardini was born in Lucca in 1959. After graduating with the highest marks in Architecture at the University of Florence in 1987, he then specialized in Garden Design and Landscape Architecture at the University of Genoa in 1992.
Aside from his work as landscape architect, he taught at the University of Genoa from 2000 to 2011, also giving several lectures and workshops in various Universities, including masters courses, public and private courses in Turin, Milan, Florence, Lucca and Viterbo.
During his career he has won many national and international competitions in landscape design and he has won several prizes and mentions.
After 2007, having acquired great experience as a landscape designer in the urban and suburban sector for government and private clients, he decided to transform his firm from a 'factory of projects' into a 'workshop'. That is, a laboratory where he could experiment and create gardens and parks for prestigious residences in close contact with his clients.
He is fond of contemporaray sculpture and believes there is a close link between nature and culture, art and landscape. That is the reason why sculpture is always a part of his projects. It is part of his quest to change the old idea of art as a decoration which has brought it towards the idea of it as an ornament and an object. In all of his projects you can always see art inserted into an 'unicum' with the environment.
