Richard and his staff were always pleasant and professional. Richard personally delivered my purchases and accompanied Kevin the installer. Kevin's work was neat and he was always punctual. I discovered this decorating gem on a spontaneous Sunday outing in Port Hope. Previously I was dreading the trip to Toronto or Peterborough to begin searching out furnishings for my move from Newcastle to Peterborough. Richard came with a staff member to my condo in Newcastle prior to my movind date to match fabric to my Persian area rugs. I consequently had two wing back chairs covered and a custom made sofa then delivered to my new home in Peterborough by Richard and Kevin. The drapery in my great room are all from Glam & Vintage Moderne. It was easy to pick many other accent pieces of art work, tables and lamps as finishing touches. Richard and his team at Glam Vintage helped us redo our main bathroom from top to bottom. He provided insight and suggestions relating to wall covering, tiles, lighting, etc in order to help us realize our vision for the remodelled bathroom. Glam Vintage and Moderne is a treasure trove of good taste. Proprietor Richard Cadoret has a wealth of design experience, genuine enthusiasm and fills his shop with unique and quality items. Richard helped us locate the perfect sofa and it was no trouble to arrange custom sizing as we needed it to be 9’ long. We have also purchased chairs, carpeting, mirror, ottoman and coffee tables from Glam. If the furnishings were not on site, they were ordered in a timely manner and arrived when promised, if not earlier. I would not hesitate to recommend Glam Vintage and Moderne.

Richard has a friendly, practical, creative and high-energy approach. In our initial consultation I went from being bewildered and a little overwhelmed to excited and confident about the plan he began creating as we talked. I was thrilled with the amount we accomplished in just a couple of hours together

I've hired Richard at Glam more than once to help me make decorating decisions for my 160 year old home. I hired him to help choose and install custom window coverings, a custom sectional for my tiny TV room (see pic), a stair runner (see pic) and also painting and wallpapering (grasscloth). A couple of times, I also hired him by the hour for general or colour advice. He's decisive and helped me figure out what works and what doesn't, which I desperately needed. His suppliers are great. When we encountered challenges, he fixed things fairly. He offers fresh ideas I never thought of. He's also fun to work with! I recommend him without hesitation.

My wife and I hired GLAM to help us build, design and furnish our new dream home in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. Richard's knowledge of his products is very impressive. Instinct for his customer's taste was quick thereby creating a relationship with us very quickly. It's almost impossible to walk away from this little gem of a designer store in Port Hope. We purchased a pullout bed couch with a blowup mattress. Many samples of material was shown to us, but we favoured the same fabric as Richard. Delivery was right on schedule and sooner than any other design shop could deliver. Pricing was very close to the others. We're thrilled with our couch and colour. It's been tested and the reports are comfortable. Thanks Richard for two visits of outstanding service. The sofa I bought from Glam is wonderful. Richard came and spent some time with me to help in choice of fabric and colour. It was most helpful. The delivery people were exceptional as well. They set it up and even put the casters on it for me.
