HOMELAND CONSTRUCTION INC.

After using Mario and Homeland for several jobs and referring several more to him, I used him on a fairly large (>$10k) home project for a hardscape patio and bush trimming. He came out and was great, gave us a rendering of the work to be done, and we made several changes to it until we got it exactly how we wanted it and got on the schedule. That was the end of the good service from Homeland. Once they started working, we quickly realized they were building from a previous version of the rendering, not the final. When I brought this to Mario's attention, he was very defensive and defiant about it and told me there was nothing that could be done about it. They also ended up making the patio much bigger than intended and changed the style of rock for both the rock wall and the pavers without discussing with me first. Again, when brought to Mario's attention he told me he was doing me a favor by doing it this way instead of the way we agreed upon...ok whatever, I'm sure it will still look great. Homeland also delayed finishing up the final bush pruning by multiple weeks until I had to reach out to them multiple times to get them to come back to finish. When he "finished" the pruning, he quickly drove away before I could look at the work, because he knew the work was not completed as expected and wanted to get out of there before I had the chance to discuss with him. Finally, when I received the final invoice, Homeland attempted to charge me an additional $550 for their poor services. When I let them know I would not be paying anything outside of the agreed upon amount, Mario personally told me I was dishonest and began name calling. You will always come 2nd to their larger/business projects and I would not recommend them to the average homeowner. Poor customer service.

We hired Jef Salonga and his company, Homeland Construction, to do our kitchen remodel, plus more. We did a complete kitchen remodel and replacement of the floors in the entire first floor, stairs leading to the second floor as well as the upstairs hallway. They also repainted the entire first floor all the way up to the second floor hallway. His crew is very professional and very pleasant to work with. Jef took the time to listen to what we wanted and made suggestions as to how we can accomplish things economically, without compromising the quality. We are very happy with the quality of their work and look forward to working with them again when we are ready for our bathroom remodel.

Jef and the Homeland Construction Team did a WONDERFUL job on our Bathroom!! They provided great design feedback and concepts, listened to our thoughts and desires for the "Perfect Bathroom", and made it reality!!! They installed a beautiful Italian Marble Shower, Soaking Tub for my wife, and a custom double vanity to bring it all together. The quality and focus of the team was amazing, and we would recommend them to friends or family if anyone ever needed these services. Great Job Jef!

Homeland Construction did excellent work on a complete remodeling of our basement. It was completely unfinished and they re-framed walls to create an optimal floor configuration, installed flooring and finished walls, fixtures, molding and doors. In addition, they implemented a moisture barrier technique for the foundation walls in the utility room that experienced moisture in the past. It is working great and much better than any other methods I discussed with several other vendors. We liked the quality of work and affordability so much that we're having Homeland build our 6,500 sq ft custom house. It's currently under construction right now and going well.

Jeff Solonga did the most impressive job imaginable for me, It included detailed woodwork, flooring, ceiling, and decorative finishing. The guy was simply amazing. He was great at listening to my vision of the project but also had GREAT suggestion to improve the results. He was timely, dependable, and well below budget. He has superior craft and technical skills. Jeff is all about quality. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I say this with experience hiring many lesser contractors. We used Homeland Construction for the install of our hardwood floors throughout the main floor of our home. We felt confident from the very beginning after meeting with Jef. His crew was prompt every morning and worked hard and steady throughout the day. They were respectful and cleaned up at the end of each day and confirmed the time they would be by in the morning the next day. We are very happy with the look of our hardwood floors and would highly recommend Homeland Construction to friends and family.
