About Us

House of Beulah, established by Zoe Joannou, is a boutique interior design practice specialising in residential projects. Zoe has an artistic background, from portrait commissions, to an MA in History of Art from Edinburgh University and finally gaining a distinction from the highly acclaimed KLC Design School. After several years experience within the design world (from working at an award winning architecture practice to a kitchen designer for Neptune), House of Beulah was a natural next step. With a flair for interior design and style coupled with a passion for renovation, House of Beulah provides the ability to see past existing layouts and styles in order to visualise the transformation of your home.

Zoe has done a fantastic job designing our awkward shaped sitting room and kitchen. She is most professional and we are thrilled with the final results. I really can't recommend her highly enough. She is efficient, knowledgable, full of wonderful ideas and the project has run smoothly from start to finish.

We have Zoe and House of Beulah to thank for the amazing transformation of our kitchen, creating a fantastic modern take on a classic kitchen. Our house has been transformed into a home with the wow factor thanks to Zoe's creativity and hard work, its' refreshing to find an interior designer who can think outside of the box and will go that extra mile. For anyone looking for a young, current thinking and hard working designer who listens and understands exactly what you are looking for, retaining the integrity of your home, House of Beulah really is the interior designer to go to, not only have we now got the house of our dreams, we've added so much value to our house we may move and do it again!

Zoe has creatively transformed our kitchen and dining room as well as help re design our ground floor layout. She is sophisticated and professional with a passion for design. The most impressive thing about Zoe is that she listens to her clients lifestyle and designs around it. She comes up with creative solutions to design issues which is what we had in our kitchen. We are thrilled with the results. Zoe has also helped with soft furnishings and we are delighted with our new curtains in the lounge!

House of Beulah came up with some amazing and creative designs for our study. It is an awkward, narrow room which Zoe has transformed by a design that uses the space efficiently, brings light into the room and provides us with stylish storage for books, file etc and enhanced workspace. We were impressed with Zoe's attention to detail and our needs and are looking forward to the completed project. We recommend her most highly.

We would highly recommend House of Beulah to anyone whatever the size of your project. They worked so cleverly to put together ideas for our kitchen and bathroom especially when working with the small spaces. E.g. slanted ceilings, storage restrictions. They have a unique way of using colour to bring out the rooms best qualities, ensuring that fabrics and textures in the room complement perfectly. The stylish suggestions of furniture to complete rooms provided us with the ultimate 'finishing touch' e.g. wooden shelves in bathrooms to add depth and interest to a small and light space. We are over the moon with the end result! Overall, we had such a fantastic experience working with House of Beulah and would definitely use again in the future.

Zoe designed my kitchen in a very awkward space. The result is tremendous! She was incredibly calm, logical and creative under pressure. She was extremely hard working and so nice to be around. She went the extra mile in helping with the accessories and the scheme in the other rooms. She has a natural flair - contemporary whilst also being mindful of the age of the property. I cannot recommend her enough.
