I'm so sad to have to write this review, as I have used Jamie for years, and previously she had always done such a good job, even though she was always difficult to work with. the last two jobs she has done for us, the quality has suffered immensely, and she has actually cost us so much money that I feel compelled to let people know before they hire her for anything. We hired Jamie to help redesign our small interior bathroom in our home, that is 10x10. She came over to measure the bathroom, a process that took 10 minutes, and charged us for an entire hour. Then she charged $300 for a design board that consisted of wallpaper, tile and a vanity. Okay, whatever. We paid it. It turned out that she mismeasured, and the vanity she ordered from Restoration Hardware was too big for our bathroom, resulting in there not being room to walk around the vanity and shut the door. We called her, and she stopped by and told us to her "It looked fine." To us and our contractor it was clear it needed to be replaced. We were charged hundreds by RH to return and restock this large vanity, and for shipping. She did not offer to compensate us. When we then asked for her help finding a new vanity that would fit she mailed us 10 links off Wayfair and instructed us to "measure and make sure they fit before ordering." We thought that's what we hired her for? I ended up selecting the new vanity and mirror myself, and never said anything to her, because she tends to react emotionally, and I didn't want to deal with it. Against my better judgment, and my husband's warnings, I hired her again to design the nursery for our little girl who is on the way. The room is tiny, measuring 10x15 approx. She charged a flat "discount" fee of $2000, plus an extra $300 for design and mood board, totaling $2300. (She stated at her hourly fee we would pay over $3800.) This was supposed to include the wallpaper installation, paint matching and paint install, custom curtains and install, and the staging of the nursery so that it looked finished. None of this was done. The short of the long is that I ordered all of the furniture (all three pieces, 2 of which were selected by me, not her), I ordered the wallpaper and supervised the install, I picked up the paint and supervised the painters, and we ordered the "custom" curtains off Pottery Barn Kids along with the hardware. She dod not stop by until the room was finished, and the furniture had already been placed by my husband. Jamie coming over and "staging" the room consisted of her coming over and tidying things up. She did not hang the pics we discussed, instead she cut out pieces of wallpaper and hung them in frames and put those on the wall. She covered the changing table in things that didn't belong there, like a lamp etc instead of a changing pad and diaper caddy. She did not hang the curtains, and left the crib completely empty, and did not offer to come back to do so. Basically, she left the room completely undone, expecting us to finish the hours of work left. But by far, the worst part of this was her reaction when we attempted to speak to her. My husband called to ask for an itemized accounting of her time spent on the room, and what the flat fee of $2000 included. She became hysterical and started crying, told my husband that I "stress her out" and refused to provide an accounting of her hours or tell us what the $2000 went toward. She sent us an email refusing to provide proof of services, and instructed us "not to bother to respond" and wished us "best of luck with the baby." She then had her husband (who is not involved in her business) call my husband to try to settle things for her. We were totally shocked. What kind of business owner does that? I sent a second email last week, and she wrote back, stated I was acting like a child, accused us of "tormenting" her (we had had one conversation with her), and then blocked my husband and I from communicating with her and from all social media. She never offered to finish the job, she didn't offer a refund, she just stopped responding, and absconded with the $2000 we had paid her. I could go on and on about all the other things that went wrong with this job, but this is the jist of it. It's a shame, because she truly is a talented designer, but her emotional reactions preclude her from doing business professionally, and handling problems in an efficient manner. I would not use this designer again or recommend her to anyone based on these last two jobs. We have reported her to the CA BBB as we still have not gotten any response, or a refund.

Jamie is a gem. She is trustworthy, respectful of budgets, has ideas for lower-cost design options that look great, and has amazing design taste. Jamie helped us with a house redesign. We live in a very small house and were expecting our first child. We needed to optimize our storage options throughout the house, refresh our interior decorating, and furnish a nursery. We had never worked with an interior decorator and were a little nervous to, but it was such a pleasant and easy experience. We are in love with our house and we loved working with Jamie.

Jamie Jamie Jamie!!!!! I love you!!!!! I have been the owner of a small waxing studio for the past 4 years. I felt it was time to give my little home away from home a face lift. I "kinda" knew what I wanted to do, but had NO clue how to do it. ENTER JAMIE B! I contacted Jamie knowing we had a very similar personal style. I knew she would help me figure out how to make my business shine. Again being a small business owner I don't have a ton of expendable cash. I asked Jamie how she could help and she recommend coming in for a design consultation.She came in and spent 2 hours giving me a breakdown of how to DIY my studio. She pretty much gave me all the tools I needed to make this happen on my budget. She was always there when I needed to call or text with questions about what to buy or not to buy. Finally when it was all done and up she came back in to help with the finishing touches. My clients LOVE the new space, and I do believe this upgrade will help expand my business even more. I will forever be thankful for this wonderful woman. Now I just need to get a new house so she can come make that look as amazing as my studio does!

I will try and keep this brief, but rest assured, I could go on and on about Jamie. Long story short, I have a small 1 bedroom apartment by the beach and never had any idea how to decorate it. Friend of a friend recommended Jamie and we were off. We agreed on a budget and since I have zero skills in the design department, I basically told Jamie "do whatever you want - I trust you." Best decision I ever made. She found ways to maximize the space that I never knew possible, found amazing and unique pieces to completely redesign my place and I've never been happier. I plan on staying in this spot for a while but wherever I end up, Jamie will be my first call.

I contacted Jamie while on a while on a trip out of state in regard to designing a home office space for my growing business. Before I ever made it home, Jamie had already presented me with options of various furniture styles and color schemes to get an idea of what my overall taste and objective was. Having been familiar with Jamie's past projects, and her collective tastes and design skill, I gave her a good amount of creative freedom to do with the project what she felt was best. The result was nothing short of spectacular; bright, colorful, balanced, serene, eclectic and most importantly, inspiring. What was perhaps most impressive, was that despite the creative freedom she was given, she provided an end result that was unequivocally tailored to my personality and tastes. In addition to being incredibly beautiful and pleasant to work with, Jamie left no detail overlooked. She worked fast, clean and skillfully in everything from painting, mounting, customizing furniture, framing and staging - she did it all, and did so with care. Because of Jamie I have an unparalleled sacred space for myself, to focus on what I love to do most. There's no doubt in my mind that I would hire Jamie again, and I would most certainly recommend her to anyone looking for a hard-working and tremendously talented designer.

I own a custom furniture and cabinetry company and over the years I have worked with several designers. Jamie B is at the top of the list! She has creative, fresh ideas a wonderful enthusiasm. Jamie pays close attention to the needs and concerns of her clients from her design work to the budget. We have helped her with several projects including a wonderful large wall unit including entertainment section and an upholstered headboard with a footboard featuring a pop up TV.

Jamie B is a talented Interior Designer. She has an eye for design and flair and listens to her clients needs and desires. Her style and perspective are invaluable. Jamie helped me transform my living space into a home I want to spend time in. She carries out projects and brings spaces to life. Jamie gave me not only great advice and resources but also her own personal touch and design muscle. I have seen Jamie's work on several other spaces from houses to urban living spaces and commercial spaces, and I highly recommend her and would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Jamie B. is great to work with. She redid our bedroom to make it more organized and functional to create a more peaceful space. She even worked out a very cool custom bed design that allowed us to hide our television in the footboard. We love our room now and find it to be very romantic and restorative. Jamie not only has great design sense but is an awesome organizer which makes her excellent at solving spatial problems. She stayed on schedule, on budget and was very thoughtful in her decision-making process which we always felt a part of. I would hire Jamie again and highly recommend her as a designer.

I met Jamie B Interiors after my son used her service to do over his entire apartment. When I saw the apartment afterwards I was blown away. What talent! I personally was thinking of doing my home office over. I kept procrastinating but when I saw the work that was done in his apartment, I decided to meet with Jamie B Interiors. When I met Jamie she was on time, professional, and had a calm manner about herself. We discussed the project that I had in mind, and all the while she never tried to impose what she wanted on me. We discussed the importance of functionality of the room. On our second meeting, she brought a sketch of her vision of the room, all the while keeping my wishes in check. At that point I hired her and the job was uneventful. There was no chaos or drama. She showed up during the installations and stayed here until everything was to both our likings. She is not above digging into the job and getting her hands dirty. Jamie Is extremely talented and my home office turned out beautiful and functions well. I highly recommend Jamie as an interior decorator and plan on using her services again.

Jamie was a dream to work with. Her stylish suggestions, her excellent and hip taste, her tact at suggesting "well, maybe not," are beyond expectation. I really appreciate that she keeps an eye on the budget at all times. I LOVE my new furniture and decor and don't believe I've ever felt that way about a living space before. Not only do I give Jamie the highest recommendation, I look forward to working with her again and referring her to friends and colleagues.

Jamie B Interiors took minimal direction from me - a few, disparate and eclectic interests I have (country music, punk aesthetic, David Lynch and mid-century furniture) and built out a fully-fleshed out realization for my apartment. Not only did she follow my vague direction, but she also FAR exceeded my expectations and had a TRUE vision that she executed with precision AND professionalism. She's also just a straight-up amazing human who works with clarity and integrity and compassion. Far and away one of the best professional experiences I've ever had - design-wise or any other. HIGHLY recommended.

As a designer, I'm not inclined to ask just anyone to help me sort out my personal space. But having admired some of Jamie's past work, I was happy to invite her in. First of all, she's a pleasure to work and collaborate with. Secondly, she has a Rain Man-eesque ability to walk into a room and immediately visualize how best to use the space. And thirdly, she has a unique sensibility and truly excellent taste. Most importantly, perhaps, is that her focus in consultations considers equally creating a space that you enjoy being in and using it efficiently. In the end, she trains style and substance to peacefully co-exist.
