When my husband and I were ready and able to build our forever home, we spoke with many builders in Owensboro and Daviess County. We met with Rick in his home, and his confidence and experience sealed the deal for us. It was evident that he was an expert and could help us realize our dream. Through the Builder Trend app, we were able to stay in contact with JMJ. Questions would be answered by the end of the day - to do lists were posted for us to complete - updates from subcontractors let us know what was going on at the build site. If Rick had a question, he would meet us at the house for walk-throughs, review possible answers to issues, or tell us, "I can figure out how to make that happen." I also really appreciated that Rick would tell us, "No, I don't think you'll be happy with that. This is what will happen." When we wanted to incorporate family barn wood, he accommodated that request. When we asked him to try something new, he was game. We're in our house now, loving it. My husband and I know we made the correct choice in JMJ Custom Homes.

We were lucky enough to be Rick's 2016 Parade home. The level of detail this man puts in to his work shows you the passion he has for designing and building. We pushed his limits on several ideas and he turned them into reality. Rick communicates through an email group with a weekly schedule so you know what's going on at your property. His team is usually just building a few homes so he is onsite most every day which is not normal of other builders. Rick's decision to build just a few homes instead of a few hundred homes a year sets him apart from his competition. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to build. I walked away from this with a great home and a new friend. Thanks for building our dream home!

Rick built our home to meet the special needs of our daughter who uses a wheelchair. We are so happy with the results! Not only is our home beautiful, but also very functional. From the ramp in the garage, sink to meet her needs in the kitchen and her bathroom, overhead lift system in her room, to the roll-in shower in her bathroom, everything was done to make our home a wonderful place for her to live. Rick's use of weekly emails to the homeowner makes it easy to stay ahead of the contractors and be prepared for any decisions that need to be made to keep the process moving smoothly. We truly enjoyed the building process! I highly recommend JMJ Construction, Inc.!

Couldn't possibly love my house any more! JMJ has done an amazing job! The detail is absolutely beautiful- from ceilings to fireplaces, cabinetry, etc.

What a quality builder! I have worked with Rick on many projects. He works extremely hard to make his clients feel comfortable and the knowledge that they are getting a solid built home. Every project is completed with integrity and on a timeline. He always makes the process go smoothly and takes the stress out of every project. Every project I have worked on with JMJ Construction has been a joy. There is never a headache because there is never anything that is overlooked. If you are looking for attention to details, JMJ is the builder for you. The company and it's projects are built on integrity. I had such a wonderful experience when JMJ built my home. Rick is so easy to work with. He gives you weekly updates on what to expect the following week. I would recommend JMJ to anyone that's building a house.

Rick Bivens is very professional! He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied in every way with our new home. It wasn't a local job for him but he treated it as though it was, constantly at the job site, overseeing every detail! We love our new home and as first time home builders, Rick made it a very stress free process. We highly recommend Rick Bivens and JMJ construction to anyone who is considering building a new home!

excellent workmanship, worked hard to satisfy my many requests. I wanted a special house and I received one! I have very low utility bills. A 85 or lower h.e.r.s rating meets 5 star energy rating, mine was a 44, outstanding. Best craftsmanship I've seen in a home in this area.

Commented: Paint could wall and ceiling. And chandelier. All very beautiful.Thanks! The walls are Sherwin Williams #6232 Misty and the ceilings are #6231 Rock Candy. The tray ceiling is #SW7669 Summit Gray. The chandelier came from Cayce Mill.
