Joe helped me sell, then buy. Home was on the market less than 3 weeks and listing photos were incredible. He negotiated with current owner so that I could move in early and helped me locate a lender. Top notch service, very professional and responsive. Joe knows the Indianapolis area very well and helped me find exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience with MacDuff and Joe Shoemaker. I have bought 2 homes and sold 1 with him and it's been an absolute pleasure. Joe is well organized, and a great communicator. I never felt like I was being sold to or pushed in any direction. When asked, Joe will give you his sincere opinion. He really has his finger on the pulse of the Indianapolis real estate scene, and is very well connected. This allows him to effectively deal with a number of issues that less experienced professionals just can't. Highly recommended.

We haven't bought or sold a lot of homes (4) but our transaction using Joe Shoemaker as agent was our best. He shared his knowledge on all areas of real estate which allowed us to make our decision in confidence. Our search was specific and Joe was alert to our requirement. In a market where homes were selling in days he scheduled our showings and made sure he was available for us. Informative with his guidance, skilled at negotiation, generous and patient with his valuable time. Makes me wish I needed a second house in the Indianapolis market so I could do it all again!

We worked with Joe for about three months to find our first house. We felt he would best understand our taste (modern with an appreciation for the slightly funky). He was very knowledgable about the houses and market. He was available even during the busy spring, and was very patient, open, understanding, positive, and polite. He set us up with a listings search, and we would tell him which houses we wanted to see. They were usually the same ones he would hand pick for us. Joe is well connected and was able to let us know if any houses of interest were coming on the market. After a few rounds of looking, he got a really good sense for what we wanted in a house. He showed us a house that he wanted us to see, and we ended up buying that one. He was a smart advisor during the bidding (and during the whole searching process). Overall, Joe Shoemaker was a pleasure to work with and is very good at what he does.

Joe represented me during a 2 year search for my first home. He continually (weekly) updated me with listings that met my criteria. I had very specific location and home design requirements. Joe was always patient and gladly showed me many homes over that period of time. In April of 2013 I closed on a beautiful one owner mid century modern home in the area I was looking for. Joe notified me within hours of the home being listed on the MLS, showed it the following morning and we had an accepted offer within 24 hours. If you are looking for a realtor in the central IN area that understands clients needs and is willing to work hard for them Joe is your man.

MacDuff helped me when the housing market was slowly pulling itself out of the slump that began in 2008. From 2010 until 2013, MacDuff counseled and advised as I slowly prepared the house for sale in the Spring of 2013. Within barely a few weeks of being on the market, we had an offer on the table and were heading towards a closing date. Throughout the process Joe Shoemaker was professional, extremely helpful and informative.

The MacDuff Realy Group, specifically Joe Shoemaker, was my realty broker for the sell of my home last year. After interviewing a couple realtors, I decided on Joe because of his familiarity and specialty with contemporary, modern (and mid-century modern) homes in the Indianapolis area. I would say in hindsight, the most spectacular thing about Joe is his pricing estimate of your home (he estimated above others), and his attention to detail in the description of my house, as well as the phenonmenal artistic-like photography. I have review multiple homes on websites, but none have ever compared to the detail that Joe displayed with his camera. In today's market, the customer does not have time to attend showings, open houses, etc., they shop by internet. I'm amazed at some of the horrific representations out their of otherwise nice homes that are just not displayed well. Bottom line, my house sold in a couple days and for almost asking price. Honestly, if you're looking for run-of-the-mill realtors, Joe and MacDuff Realty is not for you. If you want someone who is naturally talented and shows a keen insight into their business, a passion for houses and a flair for eccentric and thinking outside the box, Joe is your guy! I would recommend him to any customer with discerning taste!!

Joe sold our architectural unique home in 4 days! He took some amazing photos to post online and once I saw them I almost changed my mind about selling our house because they were so good... I had a great experience selling this house and wish they could all happen this easily.
