My husband and I redid our kitchen totally by ourselves. We bought the kitchen cabinets from John Cook Kitchens. Shelley and Theresa helped us with selection, measurements, ordering, delivery and advice on installation. They were thorough, caring and helpful throughout the process, and our kitchen turned out beautiful! Highly recommend.

Our remodel is posted to Houzz with the title "Lanikai Zen". The quality of the project - from initial design through demolition, construction and final punch list - exceeded our expectations in every way. The project included the complete demolition and remodeling of our kitchen/entry area as well as changes in the lighting and painting in the adjoining areas. Shelley provided us with a design that met all of our (very long) list of needs and then provided additional ideas and recommendations that made the design even more functional and attractive. Shelley's attention to detail was particularly impressive and she took the time to guide us through decisions on everything from flooring to the exact location of the cabinet pulls. Her attention to detail continued as she ensured that the correct materials were selected and ordered on a timely basis and then installed per the plan. She worked closely with Colin, the general contractor on our project. Colin and his subcontractors did excellent work (as can been seen in the photos), completed everything on time (or ahead of schedule) and managed the work area as well as anyone could. We were concerned that our elderly pets (a 20 year old cat and a 12 year bulldog) would be stressed by the construction - but even they were happy. Our neighbors were amazed that we could complete such a major project with so little disruption or noise during the 10 weeks of actual construction. We have had several remodeling projects in the 30+ years that we have owned this home, and this was by far the best experience we have had. The final design reflects our preferences and direction as well as Shelley's knowledge and guidance of material, style, design and color options We only wish we had known about Shelley, Colin and John Cook Kitchens earlier!
