Johnson Development Company is a custom home building firm headed by brothers Terry and Roger Johnson. As the sons of a builder (who during his 40-year career, developed more that 2,000 homes in metro St. Louis), the Johnsons literally learned the business from the ground up, with summers devoted to learning basic construction skills and procedures. The company was founded in 1970. As the years passed, the business grew. Large, increasingly elaborate homes became the norm as families responded to the brothers' architectural creativity and ability to produce homes of perceptibly higher quality. Today, homes built by Johnson Development are found throughout the finest neighborhoods of metro St. Louis. In addition to building on a lot already owned by a customer, the Johnsons maintain a portfolio of custom home sites in some of the area's most exclusive locales.
