We love our Alpine home, but it desperately needed an upgrade. With so many choices to make, we reached out to Kathy and her team. She designed the most beautiful rooms, with many built-ins and special touches that made our home so special. Her designs stayed true to our style and personality, and the end result was amazing. We replaced our lighting, faucets, window coverings, and door hardware, added beams and tile, updated our kitchen, re-stained all our wood, installed wood floors, replaced carpet, re-did our outdated master bath, and even updated our exterior. Everyone we worked with was professional and talented. We couldn't be happier with our remodel!

We have used Kathy and her team for several projects involving 2 homes we purchased. The first was a remodel and update. Kathy knew exactly what we were getting at and helped make it a reality!! We just recently moved into another home and wanted to incorporate our previous décor with the new home, while adding several new items. Kathy, Daniel and the rest of the crew did an outstanding job! We hired KAAI to help us remodel our Kauai getaway home. Wow! Kathy and her crew with seamless skill and boundless talent transformed our home from an outdated island retreat to a rustic beach house extraordinaire. Every detail (from paint color, trim, new doors, flooring, furniture and accessories) was thoughtfully executed with the end result looking like something one sees only in a Coastal Living magazine. She captured our desire and put a naturalistic and "rustic beach house" spin on our Hawaiian plantation style home. The results turned out absolutely fantastic. We could not be more pleased with our home's new look and feel. I was a little nervous about hiring a decorator to help me with our home, but I knew that I needed help to take it to the next level. Kathy was referred to me by a friend so I decided to give her a call. Kathy and her team came to our home and she spent quite a bit of time listening to me share my ideas and getting a feel for what we wanted. We decided on adding a few pieces and Kathy told me that when she came back, she would bring other pieces and decorate our home based on her understanding of what we wanted to accomplish. The day arrived and I left the house for a few hours. When I returned, my house had been transformed into a completely new living space that exceeded my expectations. She captured my ideas but then enhanced them more than I could have imagined. Perhaps the most surprising thing was that many of the pieces she used were very affordable. I didn’t have to pay a premium price to get the look I wanted. Kathy and her team were complete professionals throughout the entire process and they were fun to work with. I am looking forward to our next project and would definitely recommend Kathy to anyone looking to help them take their home to the next level.

We initially hired Kathy and her team to help us make two rooms side by side into one large cozy living space. Once we met with her and shared our desires, we ended up updating many rooms in our house. Her ideas were SO amazing and cost effective. We felt like we got a brand new home by the end of the process. Kathy's attention to detail and how a room feels is impeccable. Her and her team are amazing! I was never comfortable with entertaining (35 years in this house) until Kathy created a fabulous design for my dining room, living room and bedroom. Now I'm proud of my home. Kathy and Julie were the most wonderful people to work with and I was somewhat sad when the project ended because they had become my friends. I was a little concerned at first about having to go to her studio because of my job, but I soon realized that this was a superior way of doing it because she had so many samples. It was also such a treat because of the beautiful location in Blossom Valley.

Kathy has been a huge part of making my house a home with lovely style for many years. I have had her help me numerous times in the redoing of my home and she always has the most incredible style and ideas that standout from anyone else's. Her staff and place of business are inviting and such a beautiful place to visit with a full service designing office. I would highly recommend Kathy to anyone I know.

We just moved here and decided to start from scratch .. All new furniture in every room . My painter gave me the name of a Decorater named Kathy he said Kathy and her team will do everything and in a matter of a few days.. Couldn't believe .. So I called Kathy and in a matter of going to her home office in about 3 visits we ordered everything looking thru catalogs and they also had a sense of my style by visiting my Home and listening to me.. Kathy and her team guided me and helped me make decision very quickly.. A few months went by and all the furniture came in. We were away on vacation and I gave them the keys to our home and when we got home the house was all decorated to perfection with accessories and all the furniture we ordered . It was very decadent but well worth every penny. I liked that we didn't have to spend weeks driving around to all the different furniture stores . Kathy and her team are very talented and so easy to work with. I felt like I was visiting with girl friends . I could call Kathy and her team anytime . I know they are very busy but I always felt like I was their only client. If you want to have your house look amazing and want to work with professionals who have amazing taste and will listen to your needs then go with Kathy and her team . They won't disappoint ..

Barb and her team are awesome! They completed the project prior to the promised time and I could not have asked for anything more. They were attentive and listened to my specific requests and in addition, provided the education that I needed to make the best choice. They took care of everything and made me realize that it is all in the details, but their cheery warm attitude just enhanced my experience, fantastic!

Kathy has recently started working with us on what we call "Project Farmhouse". Although still in the initial stages, Kathy and Julie have demonstrated true expertise in design. They are collaborative, efficient and just plain fun to be around. I appreciate that they listen, pull my fragmented ideas together and work hard to understand what I don't always know how to communicate. By doing so, they have identified important details that I would have easily overlooked and regreted later. When they showed me the color palettes and designs they recently created, I squealed inside. I thought, "Wow....They know my taste even better than I do".

Kathy and her team created a an elegant and inviting interiors for our penthouse in downtown San Diego. Every room reflected the feel I requested. Every space enhanced the views. Kathy coordinated the fabrics for all upholstery. The detail in every piece showed her talent for making an interior special, specific, and warm. The team installed and finished with perfect accessories that personalized our home. Kathy listens and completed the project on time.
