About Us

Kirsten Brant began her design training with renowned designer and author Alexandra Stoddard, under whom she nurtured her instinct to create livable spaces that echoed the simplicity of nature. Kirsten went on to work with the talented David Ripp at the firm of Sklar & Ripp, before refining her modern style and sensibility working with Saunders & Walsh, now H. Parkin Saunders. Strongly grounded in traditional design principles, Kirsten looks for that singular opportunity in every project where design can both elevate and reveal the innate beauty of one’s home. Kirsten enjoys collaborating, and welcomes her client’s engagement in the process to create a distinct and spectacular space that will be truly theirs. Current projects include Greenwich and Redding, Ct, Boulder, Co. and the new Robert A.M. Stern building, 15 Central Park West. I work with Kirsten often and she has shown me time and time again how naturally her talents come in interior design. Not only does she have a knack for space planning and understanding the importance of design function, but she also has an uncanny ability with color. When you meet her you'll immediately see this in the way she dresses. Despite this eye for color, she also is able to work seamlessly when color isn't present. So, whether you want your home done in all neutrals or bright and vibrant, she can lead you in the right direction! Along with talent, Kirsten is great to spend time with. She is intelligent and you always leave a conversation with her feeling inspired!

We bought an apartment that we loved except for the master bath which was a complete gut job... Reasons that k. brant interiors rocks: 1. I loved that Kirsten had us start with pictures of things we liked and didn't like and we discussed why. Then we spent some incredibly fun hours shopping together. 2. Kirsten is very articulate, patient, and thorough. When Kirsten was picking things out for us, she would always explain *why* she was picking them out. For every design detail she selected for us, she said why she selected it, for example: explaining why the different tiles for the bathroom needed to be sized to match a graduated plan, etc... When we couldn't find something, or when we weren't excited about a particular item, she was always able to find perfect alternative choices. 3. Kirsten was flexible and went above and beyond. She was on-site frequently throughout construction and worked tirelessly with the contractor to get the bathroom installed in time for us to move in.

Kirsten Brant was recommended to me by my architect who also participated in the Showtime House. I liked her immediately because I could tell she was a good listener and she dressed with such style! Sure enough she immediately “got” my taste and was able to translate this into rooms that I loved and I am particular! She has a depth of design experience, excellent taste, a great ability to problem-solve, fantastic sense of color, and a sense of humor to match. I can’t recommend her highly enough for someone looking to create a fabulous designed nest of their own.

I hired Kirsten Brant to do the interior decoration of my 850 square foot pre-war apartment and it was a great experience with beautiful results! Her years of experience in the design field really came through as she had sources for all crafts people that were needed and has her finger on the pulse of all the top fabric and furniture brands. She is an excellent shopper who always keeps her eye out for the perfect thing the space may require and collaborates with you to give you what you want. She custom designed my bed and window treatments and is an amazing project manager and super organized. Plus she has impeccable taste. I love coming home to my apartment thanks to K. Brant Interiors!
