I’m sorry that you are unhappy with how your project resolved. However, I feel it’s important to acknowledge the difficulties we faced with your renovation that contributed to the delays and unfinished work.
There were elements of the job that required preparations on your part, that you were aware were your responsibility, that were not ready for us in the agreed to timeframe. By not having finishes organized, we lost the availability of certain trades that had their own schedules to keep. Upon reading the contract, you recognized that these types of delays would result in having to wait until these skilled workers were available to return to complete the job. You made the decision to employ another contractor to finish the work in the timeframe of your choosing, rather than allowing us to reschedule and come back to finish for the agreed upon amount. All contracts are accompanied with a personalized payment schedule that is prepared and agreed upon prior to signing. When, due to scheduling issues, it became apparent that certain jobs would not be carried out by Sharrison Painting & Renovations, your invoice was reviewed and revised to include an exculpated balance and a reimbursement (that was based on the costs Sharrison Painting & Renovations originally quoted you for these jobs). An itemized list was sent to you along with a detailed explanation of the breakdown. We made a point of stating that should you have any questions or concerns, that we would go over anything that was unclear. We did not hear from you again for another 30+ days to confirm your refund. In your eventual response, there was no mention of being dissatisfied with the amount of compensation. Again, I am sorry you were displeased with your dealings with Sharrison Painting & Renovations; and assure you that we continue to strive for excellence in both our work and customer service.
