Purchased a pool in 2018, after 2 years the pool started to discolor I called and was told first that it was covered and then that it was not covered. Confusing, after going back and forth they aceptes to cover a portion for the repair. However, no guarantees and I have to pay for bracing the pool, so the warranty repair will cost me $5,000 out of pocket after just 2 years of having the pool.

We had a new liner installed in the fall of 2020...we noticed at first we were losing water..so called out the pool tech and he serviced what he thought was the issue. Had to call him out a 2nd time and the leaking issue was resolved...but it wasnt too long after that that wrinkles started to appear already...the reason we ordered a new one was because the old one was 10 years old, which was fading and developing a few wrinkles, which had been from a different company...no complaints really from that liner co. With this new one, some of the wrinkles are an inch wide and folding over itself...but we have LOTS of wrinkles, even running up the sides, along the top edge, and in the corners. We have always kept our chemicals in check, and we even had a sump pump installed underground to rid of any water that could accumulate. We got the thicker liner, but somehow I feel this material is defective....the reason it is stretching, wrinkling and fading, only after this short time. Called Latham Pool Products after sending in a claim, and both times I spoke with a rep, he would not budge AT ALL i finally asked for the person in charge of him to call me back to see if I can get anything resolved. Still waiting for a reply. The customer service rep's hands are tied...pretty sure I spoke with the same person both times...but he would not budge...he said " Google to see what is causing the wrinkles"....i said "I did, but evidentally your company isnt going to stand behind your product" Perhaps after I talk with his manager Holly, we will see what she says....if she returns the call. They want to give me a new liner at a discounted price of $1200+!!!!!!! Plus, I would have to pay to have reinstalled, plus the cost of water to be transported in... I've taken several pics of the large wrinkles. What sucks is that they are a toe stubber, and the water is sparkling clear, but all you can notice is the wrinkles, wrinkles everywhere.... VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED . . .

Called and wrote their customer service about an issue we are having with our installer. 1 month and no response. From what I gather from other reviews they don’t care about customer relations or warranty, just want to sell big pieces of fiberglass and be done with it.

They are a terrible company with terrible management. They have a gatekeeper system, with a receptionist who refuses to transfer you to anyone and the management refuses to call you back. They disempower their employees and they disempower their dealers and installers. They shipped a fiberglass pool with a hole in it which the local company installed and it was slowly leaking water ever since it was put in. It has been many months now, but they have some kind of “process” for handling warranty work which really just means they can schedule you whenever they want, with no concern for the customer or their needs or wants or worries. They make it very clear that both the customer and their dealers have zero importance to them. They are not compassionate, they are not timely, once you’ve bought the pool you’re just left hanging in the wind if they happen to have manufactured it defectively. This means they either care so little about their customers it is of no importance when they repair their gross errors or it means they have so many defects and warranty claims they can’t even handle the problem. Either way, stay away! Save yourself hours, days, weeks, months of worry, frustration, time, and despair, not to mention money.

Our Viking pool somehow got a hole in it and lost all the water. They sent their best team to fix it. Very professional

Their fiberglass pools discolor after 1-2yrs and they refuse to warranty them. Latham has the worst gelcoat finish I have ever seen, the finish looks like its 40yrs old in just a few years and Latham will not do anything because it is not covered in their warranty. We tried working with them but finally dropped their line of pools this past year cancelling over 40 pool shells on order due to pools arriving damaged and cracked along with the failed gelcoat issues that they will not cover. Read your the warranty before you buy anything from Latham, their industry reputation has changed dramatically since they went public in 2021.

This company doesn't care about its customers. They give "production" and "ship" dates that come and go. They have no control over their facilities or products and its shameful. Our First week of May ship date has long gone and now making me wonder if we will get the pool this year. If they were honest they would be honest and stop wasting their customers time so we can all plan accordingly instead of planning around these fake dates.

I have been waiting for a fiberglass pool for 18 weeks, and have just been told that it will be another 23 weeks. Every time I call Latham they tell me that production is slow, but they are still producing pools. Whereas they are saying the delay is due to Covid and the resin shortage, it is difficult (almost impossible) to get a commitment on when the pool will be manufactured and delivered. Latham’s customer service has proven to be very poor. It takes weeks to get return phone calls and status updates. I cannot believe that I am the only one experiencing this poor service from Latham and it’s dealers.

This company has a horrible dealer/ installer network. Tried several in Florida and they were unprofessional, rude and untrustworthy. Unfortunately they are not alone - the pool industry in general seems to be pretty bad.

I do NOT recommend purchasing a pool through this company. They do NOT honor their lifetime guarantee and they charge clients thousands of dollars in charges down the line that should be covered by the warranty. Their customer service is horrendous, if you can even get anyone to speak with you. Its been a horrible process and after spending thousands of dollars the pool its overall been so disappointing. There are so many other companies out there.

Lathan corporate is unprofessional. I’ve left 2 messages, and spent 25+ minutes on hold trying to get answers about their installers. They gave me 3 in my area: one is not currently installing pools and takes 3 weeks to answer emails. The second has never installed a single pool, and asked me to pay Latham direct for the pool and freight! The third priced THE SAME EXACT POOLS at 25 to 50% higher than the first two (? jacking up prices during Covid.). Latham just doesn’t care, no email contact on website & doesn’t return calls or answer calls. STAY AWAY FROM LATHAN! I am!

My Latham fiberglass pool is 4 years old. Spots started appearing within 6 months. They started out small and in the past 4 years have grown bigger and more numerous. I called several times and was told to use a scrubby or water proof sandpaper. Nothing touched them. Someone from Latham came out to look at them last summer, but had no suggestions. There has also been some fading, but if I could get rid of the spots, I could forgive that. I've consulted with numerous people and got no solutions.
