Ryan and the crew from Matrix Concrete Artisans were a pleasure to work with. We hired them to repair and paint our rock pool and pool deck. They started within a week of signing the contract, worked quickly and reshaped our backyard into a gem. Diligent, friendly, cleaned up and stored items every evening. Highly recommended.

My father dreamed of the perfect waterfall for his old-western themed backyard. For years, literally, he talked to different companies trying to find the perfect fit to build his dream. On August 21 2014 we received a text message from my dad saying he had "inked the deal with the waterfall guy". On September 3 we got another text from him saying "waterful guy was here with an awesome rendering of my yard. Work begins on Sept 15." On Sept 13 we received another text. This one saying "May be in trouble here, having severe stomach pain". 911 was called and a few hours later found out my dad had a perforated intestine and would need emergency surgery....and that he may not make it. He did make it and was more upset on the morning of the 15th that he missed the "waterfall guy" starting than he was over being in ICU with a newly attached colostomy bag. We decided to have Ryan start on the backyard when my dad got out of the hospital. After 10 days of sitting in the hospital, my dad decided they could get started now. Ryan and team jumped right in. While they had conveyed their excitement to my dad before, now there were on a mission to get my dad's dream backyard up and running. My dad did finally make it home on October 9th, and the backyard construction was in full swing. Unfortunately my dad passed away just a week later, before seeing the finished project. The reason this story is included in this review is because not only did Matrix Concrete Artisans do an amazing job on the waterfall, stream, pond and mine shaft in the backyard, they were also truly amazing to my family. They knew that getting the backyard finished was literally my dad's dying wish and they took it very seriously to get the work done. They were there every day working, and if for some reason they weren't on the job on a given day, I would get a text letting me know why thery weren't working that day and when they would be back. They finished the job ahead of when they promised. My dad wanted a "holy shit" project, and it is exactly what he got. Ryan promised him that the rocks he would build would look like they had been there for years, which is exactly what my dad wanted, and exactly what he got. Not only is Ryan a geniunely nice guy who clearly loves his work and cares about people, but all of the guys that worked on the job were also always very nice, friendly and considerate. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone.

We hired Ryan's company, Matrix Concrete Artisans to build an extensive backyard garden railroad infrastructure for our TooMuchFun RR. His expertise in helping design an then build an incredible layout including waterfalls, canyons, ponds, mountains and a huge Bryce Canyon look was beyond expectations. We have one of the premeir garden railroads in the country and could not have done it with out Ryan's suggestions and quality construction. Ryan and his staff were professional, courteous and above their competition in every way.

If you're looking for Good workmanship, Honesty and most importantly, Reliability, Ryan is the Best! Where to begin.... not too often do you find a really good contractor to do your work.... Okay, so we decided to re-do our swimming pool. The kids talked us into a Rock Waterslide... We had one estimate already, not happy with the guy or his pricing.... My husband remembered seeing a business card or flyer of Ryan's from Matrix Concrete Artisans Inc. years ago and loved his work! He was on a mission to find this guys number and get an estimate. He liked that his rocks looked real and not fake and all the same color that most people do. Ryan customizes the rocks to look real! He looked him up on the computer and found him! Ryan came out and that day drew up what we had envisioned the slide to look like, plus added a cool water feature, even better than we could of pictured... and his pricing what in the range that we wanted to spend! We hired him on the spot! He gave us a time frame of how long it would take and actually finished earlier than said! How often does that happen.... Recently a neighbors daughter had come over to finally see our backyard and couldn't say enough about it! She said I'm not one to give too many compliments, but this is excellent work! Her mother confirmed to me, my daughter couldn't say enough about your back yard and that comes from the highest compliment you could ever get... She knew it was good workmanship, because she recently had work done in her backyard and it didn't even compare.... Needless to say, the kids love it and so do all their friends! The project was completed on time, in a professional and exceptionally clean and well orgainized manner. The crew worked vey well together and the completed project was better than I expected. I have had other pool builders look at the completed project and comment it is the best rock work they have ever seen. I would recommend Matrix to anyone that is looking for a unique and totally natural look.

I am in the the magazine publishing field of home improvement and home remodeling magazines so i only deal with top companies for work at my home. Matrix rock is one of the best companies for manufactured rock work for your backyard. they did my pool years ago and refreshed my rocks around the pool and it looks amazing. Ryan and Matrix proves that there is such a thing as a "great contractor" especially in today's market where there are so many bad and flaky ones. Ryan and his employees showed up when they said they would, did what they said they were going to do, and our backyard looks amazing because of them. Our existing pool needed to be drained for the project (artificial rock-scape and a 27-foot water slide), and then the weather started to turn pretty warm (which made my husband panic about the plaster being exposed to the sun for too long). We expressed our concern to Ryan about this and he showed up the next few days with extra guys and got the job done even faster. He actually listened to us and did something about it. All of our friends and neighbors cannot believe how great our backyard looks. Matrix does amazing work & Ryan is truly an artist.

In terms of quality and value combined with pricing, a very professional job. Matrix team highly qualified and respectful, and the job exceeded my expectations and was a non issue event . Job was done on time and a pleasant experience.
