About Us

Providing superior craftsmanship, exceptional customer service and quality products for your bath remodeling project from conception to completion is our philosophy at Mattioni. We have been servicing our Chester County, Pennsylvania, residents for their bath remodeling, plumbing, heating and cooling needs since 1948. A.F. Mattioni & Sons Plumbing & Heating was founded on the Mattioni family farm along the (back then) very rural Route 113 outside of Downingtown, PA in 1948. The original barn which housed the company still stands! A newer, larger building on the family’s property is the current home for the Mattioni brothers’ version of their father’s service-oriented business, but their commitment to quality has not changed. We invite you to visit our headquarters and see our beautifully designed showroom where clients can browse a wide variety of products and finishes.

Mattioni Plumber & Heating was dispatched to my home 6/22/23 to repair 2 leaking faucets. I’m transparent when leaving reviews—good and bad. As a matter of fact, I wrote a lengthy raving positive review about Mattioni 2 years ago—again, I’m transparent. Since when does it cost almost $600 to repair 2 faucets? No they didn’t replace the faucets, they replaced the cartridges in the faucets. Keep in mind the cartridges cost approximately $35 to replace. Factor in the dispatch fee ($75) so you mean to tell me that remaining $525 is what it cost to make the repair? I could have purchased 2 brand new faucets for less than what they charged me. I realize repair costs have increased, but this is TOTALLY unacceptable! Shame on you for over charging me! Price gouging at its best

Mattioni was great since the original estimate that Wendall did months before the installation until he and his team finished up the install. The office team were super helpful and resourceful with assisting my many questions that I had. Wendall and Tim were super professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommended and will definitely use the Mattioni team again. Thanks a bunch!

Lucas was outstanding! He explained what the issue was, gave me 3 options for the resolution, completed the fix in great time. Lucas was very thorough and showed me exactly how he resolved the problem. I highly recommend Mattioni and Lucas

Mattioni did not come out per the scheduled appointment time. We had no air conditioning and my wife had to call several times. When they first came out to diagnose the problem they try to sell you services you do not need. It is frustrating that they quote my wife a price twice as much but when I get on the phone and question them they cut the price in half. Service and communication is poor but what they always seem to do when they walk in your home is stick an I pad in your face to get paid prior to doing any work. That part they get right.

Mattioni Plumbing has always been extremely professional, responsive, and you know the job is going to be done correctly. We have used them for routine maintenance and a bathroom remodel. Norm C. was candid, knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing, great job!

Prompt response, curteous, professional, “dog lover”, got the job done with little wasted time, very efficient and clean. Would highly recommend the Carl and the firm.

Paul came out today to replace my hot water heater. He was here previously to fix a faucet, and both times he has been clean and efficient, helpful and polite. He is good at explaining what he is doing, and leaves my house in good shape. Today he had Pete with him, and he was also very polite. They made a good team.

As a company, Mattioni is always there when you need them. The experience from the time you call to the time the job is complete is exceptional. I had a leak in my house on a Saturday night and they quickly dispatched Carl to help us out. Carl took the time to explain the issue and the proposed solution and completed the job quickly and throughly. Carl was professional, patient and made sure the job was completed to our satisfaction and cleaned up before he left. Great job!

Jarad and Carl were exceptional. I’ve hired several plumbers over the years but they were the best. They were knowledgeable, respectful and friendly. I was provided a complete description of the problem before the work was started. I would highly recommend Mattioni plumbing.

Rich M., from Mattioni Plumbing Heating & Cooling, did the semi-annual cleaning of my furnace and A/C unit. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate his suggestion of a better way for me to do some monthly maintenance. He had to make several trips outside for the A/C unit and was very careful about cleanliness. Great job.
