We had a very formidable challenge attempting to save a highly neglected 206 year old building located in the Historic District A1 from falling into the river below. After careful selection we chose McHenry Architecture. The decision that McHenry was the right firm to work with for this project became crystal clear after we interviewed about 10 different influential figures around town, from Real Estate agents to builders and even other architects; the near unanimous answer was “Steve and Brandon are best for this, bar none.” Their extraordinarily well thought out design got us through a rigorous Historic District Commission approval process and their use of technology to show the future vision of the project was incredible, not only for the members of the commission but for us too! The first time I got to sit in my own living room, it was surreal as I had sat in the exact same seat dozens of times virtually while working with them in their office. McHenry delivered on every tough curve ball that was presented from a myriad of players. The devil is in the details and I can’t say more than enough great things about them or this honest, unsolicited review will start to look fraudulent. They aren’t the cheapest, but they are the best. When compared the cost of not getting it right the first time, it’s a bargain.
