Michael took our 38-year-old home into the present using a variety of materials that reflected his great sense of style and taste. He incorporated new ideas into existing spaces that complimented colors and features that we wanted to keep. He gave us many pictures and samples to choose from and helped us to branch out into new perspectives of design and color. He gave our home character and style. Michael is detail focused, and frequently checked in on the progress along the way, working side by side with our contractor. Michael was always available for consultation and support and helped restore a sense of pride in our home ownership.

My husband and I decided to completely redo the family room where we spent most of our time during the Covid lockdown. It was in dire need of a facelift. We hired Michael to design a fresh, new, modern interior, and he exceed our expectations! He came up with a color palate and design that we would never have thought of, but absolutely love! He was friendly, easy to work with, and a great liaison with the construction team. We have been spending most of our time in our “new” room and always marvel at how beautiful and comfortable it is. I highly recommend Michael and his unique and creative design sensibility.

Michael Trahan has designed several rooms in our home, including the living room/dining room and the family room. His designs were perfect for our lifestyle and our space. His suggestions for wall colors, light fixtures, and window treatments were exactly what we were looking for. I especially appreciated his ability to position our artwork and our unique pieces to their best advantage. His efforts made the living room a unique space and representative of our lives. We started the work before the pandemic and there were some issues with supply chain for the furniture, but Michael kept everything well organized. He found wonderful professional people for the painting, flooring, and window treatments. He kept this project working well in trying times and brought to a wonderful, beautiful conclusion.

We engaged Michael Trahan to remodel our house that has a beautiful view. Michael was very accommodating to our busy work schedules. He worked with us to choose the interior elements and finishes given our style tastes and design objectives. He took our combined ideas, came back with great choices, and coordinated the work of vendors and contractors to bring them to life. Even when there was a problem he stepped in to help sort it out. The result is an inviting home that embraces a spectacular view. It was an easy-going, pleasurable experience working with Michael throughout our design project.

My wife and I wanted help with changing out a number of light fixtures both inside and outside our home, as well as putting in some new lighting. We were referred to Michael by a home remodeling company in town. In short, he is excellent. Michael came to our home and listened to what we wanted as far as changing the look and feel of our lighting fixtures. A couple of weeks later, he came back with a lot of options and ideas, which we reviewed with him carefully. We liked most of the ideas, but a few were not quite what we were looking for. The additional review helped Michael know what we wanted, and he came back a week or so later with even better ideas that are just what we wanted. Throughout the process, Michael was helpful, knowledgeable, and flexible. He is easy to work with and we recommend him very highly. Our lighting redesign project was much more successful with Michael's help than if we had tried to do it on our own.

We engaged Michael to redo our family room. We are both busy professionals and find it difficult to find the time to work on choosing items and finishes for our projects. Michael was very accommodating. He met with us and gained a good understanding of what we wanted and of what we liked. He did the homework and found great furniture, materials, colors, and presented these to us to choose. All were on target, making the choices difficult at times, but demonstrating great insight into our desires. He was patient with us in making the choices. He worked with the various vendors and contractors to coordinate the job. Result is a beautiful new family room which we love. Looking forward to future projects.
