The rooftop garden that Amber and her crew created for us exceeded our expectations. The whole process from start to finish was just so easy. Her crew was so professional and polite. They cleaned so well that you wouldn't have known they were even in the building. I would highly recommend Amber Freda Garden Design and happily use them again.

Amber and her team did a full renovation of our terrace in Brooklyn two years ago, and we continue to work with her today for ongoing gardening and maintenance. Amber is a true professional and did a great job managing a fairly large project. Her original design plans were spectacular, and she knows precisely the types of plants and vegetables that will look good with our aesthetic and, importantly, that will thrive in inclement weather (high winds!). Working with Amber and her team was a great decision for us and we’d recommend her to anyone considering a terrace or backyard renovation, large or small.

Amber and her crew designed and built a lovely long lasting planter garden w ipe bench on my upper east side terrace about 7 years ago. The items I most wanted - an espalier tree and a red maple - were incorporated into a design w annuals and perennials that look good year round and are appropriate to my sunny, windy conditions. The monthly maintenance and attention of one assigned manager have kept the garden in good shape and caught problems early. I highly recommend Amber and her maintenance staff for a first rate terrace garden that will last.

While we were looking at apartments to purchase in the spring of 2018, I fell in love with an outdoor space that I later learned Amber has created. We ended up purchasing a different apartment with a large outdoor space that needed some TLC. We reached out to three different designers, including Amber, to get a few different perspectives and quotes. We knew that Amber was the clear choice after spending the initial hour talking with her. From start to finish, Amber and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with. They are SO responsive, so professional, and the quality of their work is the best that I have seen. Her design plans were so comprehensive and the finished product turned out identical to the proposed illustrations. We will continue to work with Amber for maintenance as well as tweaks here and there as our preferences change and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to spruce up outdoor space.

I am the Board member of a Manhattan cooperative who is responsible for the landscaping work. After interviewing many, I hired Amber Freda several years ago and am very pleased with the results. The cost is reasonable/competitive and more important her team is creative, responsive and professional. Our building is on a corner and we have seven tree pits along with foundation landscaping. She and her group have transformed the curb appeal of the building here on Sutton Place.
