Pablo Undurraga

We hired Pablo for two projects – one 2008 in Texas and the other in 2010 in Arizona. The Texas project was to construct an apartment at the end of a large machine shop on the family farm in Texas. We had only 720 SF footprint to work with! Pablo came up with several ideas and worked with us to select the best design that would utilize the space, provide a natural flow, and orient rooms to take advantage or avoid the Texas sun. We ended up with two stories – the top had an balcony overlooking below – and a total of 950 SF. Downstairs we had a lovely master suite, with access to a large porch, a full kitchen and dining nook and living room. Upstairs was a guest room with an en suite bath. Windows everywhere! And a large porch that extended the 30ft length of the apartment and had two access points. We appreciated the attention to detail that Pablo offered – we ended up with a much better, livable space that we thought was possible. The floorplan is attached. (Rumor has it that this unique floor plan has popped up in several other projects the General Contractor lead!) For the Arizona project, we had 3500 SF home that was 20 years old. The home had lovely views and was located in a large master development with several golf courses. While the views were beautiful, we always wanted to change the location of the master suite for more privacy. Given the constraints of this community, we had several considerations for neighbors and elevation. Pablo met with representatives from the architectural committee and visited the site on multiple occasions to get a design that was acceptable to the committee and met our needs. He did an incredible job – came up with several plans to provide the large master that wrapped around one end to keep the spectacular views, but had a separate exit to the pool and jacuzzi area. He also had a large master bath, walk in closets, and exercise room, and space for a small office nook. We had no idea you could fit all that within the footprint yet the plan truly flowed. The building areas was over 900 square feet, with a 400 foot deck and spa area. A sketch of that project is attached. We decided not to pursue this particular remodel and moved from Arizona. We would highly recommend Pablo for any project – new build or remodel!

Pablo is very friendly, easy to work with, and really took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for in our home remodel. He gave design options for various aspects of the project, and we worked through the pros and cons before reaching final designs. The finished project is amazing, and worth every penny; everybody remarks about how difficult it is to tell which part is new, and which part is original (we added upstairs rooms to a house built in 1925). The lighting in the new spaces, the traffic flow, all aspects of the design really came out great. Besides the design work, his project management and knowledge of the zoning and permit process kept everything running smoothly. We would highly recommend Pablo.
