I first saw the magic of Peter Latham’s talent with the camera in an art shop in Whitianga many years ago. It was “Tranquility”, literally, that took my breath away – in a triptych. I was taken with the unique framing; the print in three pieces - the location touched me, as I love Whale Bay – but the way it was perfectly captured, stayed with me… Many years later in a house with a lot of white walls, I’m so privileged to have purchased 4 pieces that have huge meaning to me; 3 from many, many years spent on the Coromandel. And 1 of Rangitoto, which I’ve lived looking at for many years. About to purchase another, on glass, from Peter’s trip on the Milford Track, for my daughter who was his guide. So blessed to have the places I love to look at each day, and blessed to have had them hung by the very gifted artist himself, who’s heart is so obviously in every piece. All of these pieces bring joy at the perfection of nature captured so beautifully, by such a gifted person. They are admired by all. Thank you Peter!

Peter's photographic work is stunningly beautiful. We have two large prints in the most important positions in our home in Canberra, and they bring a rich evocation of New Zealand to our environment. The light and forms of Aotearoa are dramatically portrayed, in all their wildness. Our family and guests draw rich rewards from spending time with these beautiful pieces. Peter has provided fabulous art work for our apartment. It is stunning and many guests have commented on them. Peter was professional and a delight to deal with. It was a great bonus that he delivered and installed the work himself.

I have been working on a barn/dwelling building project with a rustic/earthy/modern theme for over a year now. I wanted a point of difference in the bathroom in particular. I'd heard about the relatively new technology of printing photos on to glass. I was now only limited by my (or someone else's) imagination. I decided on a native bush scene. I then looked through Peter Latham's catalogue. The choice was vast and varied. The photography is nothing short of spectacular.....the lighting, the contrasts, the ultra high resolution. The locations are remote, surreal, dramatic, serene, amazing! I kept coming back to one photo in particular, called 'Solitude'. It ticked all the boxes for what I was trying to achieve. It now stands in pride of place in my bathroom covering two sides of the shower, at 2.0m x 1.2m x 2.4m high. It definitely has the 'wow' factor!
