Pioneer Kitchens

We had Pioneer install a new kitchen/stone benchtop in 2021, paid decent money for the install and took in good faith that any issues that might arise, Pioneer would rectify any issues as they were a large reputable company. After approximately 2 months the stone benchtop that Pioneer supplied cracked in an odd place. Pioneer, Stonemason and Stone supplier all advised we were not at fault. Pioneers resolution after 10 months of negotiation !!!! was - we can give you a new piece of stone, but you need to pay any associated install costs and if there is damage during the process you are also liable. If your considering using Pioneer, look at other options,. The aftersales support, warranty and accountability was woeful from these Pioneer when there is an issue that might incur a cost to them. They promise the world, but if there is an issue, dont expect them to fix it.....

I am absolutely delighted with the joinery supplied by Pioneer in our new home. This included kitchen, laundry, all robes, built in joinery units, and a kitchenette. Sonia was so wonderful to work with and came up with beautiful ways to enhance my ideas. Throughout the process there was clearly a focus on providing a quality end product and the end results are nothing short of spectacular. Communication was excellent. I appreciated Sonia’s patience through many rounds of changes, as well as fighting hard for me to get the job done at the best possible price. The installers were highly skilled and any issues that came up onsite were dealt with quickly with no fuss. I have no hesitation in recommending Pioneer to anyone considering new joinery. Their reputation in Canberra is well-deserved.

I would not recommend Pioneer Kitchens as the customer service was appalling and quality of the final work was disappointing. Pioneers Kitchens are unprofessional and have little to no knowledge of how to treat their customers. Initially the designer was engaging however as soon as deposits were paid, it was difficult to get a response or action - at the end of the project I was having to call, text and email multiple times to get a response to which I would receive unhelpful or rude responses or just referrals to other teams. Correspondence was done at weird times late at night. There seems to be no communication between teams or awareness of customer service. In terms of the quality of the work, there was little guidance on design or project management. The very first plans were measured incorrectly and it was extremely slow to ask for changes to the plans, yet once the final plans were sent to me to sign off there was so much pressure to sign quickly that I was getting calls late at night. It felt like it was just a rushed high pressure conversation to get as much money out of me as they could. With one defect, Pioneer Kitchens refused to acknowledge the error and tried to shift blame on me. The attitude I received when trying to resolve it was unprofessional and rude. For example, the phone was kept on whilst an employee spoke to another about me and I could hear them complaining about me in the background. It was extremely upsetting. There is little to no attention to detail in the final product as measurements were out and so gaps are obvious throughout the design. Given the horrible response I received when attempting to seek assistance with the first defect, I will be seeking assistance from seperate trades to avoid further upset and disappointment. Be wary, they will sell you the dream to begin with then the experience is only downhill from there.

The team at Pioneer Kitchens fitted bookcases, a desk and wardrobes for us in early 2021 and we could not have been happier with the service and product. The joinery is outstanding - beautifully constructed furniture which looks stunning. Pioneer's designer, Brian, was great to work with - he took our more outrageous ideas and turned them into something both stylish and practical, plus found ways to make some unusual design choices work. There was a minor delay in installation over Christmas, but this is due to Pioneer being very much in demand. Just order early and understand the furniture will take a few weeks (I think ours took 6 weeks). I wouldn't hesitate to use Pioneer again.
