Wow! Sometimes you just get a "great vibe" when you meet someone. That is exactly what we felt when Dick (Froze) and Denise first came to our house. At the time, we were not even sure of what we wanted. All we knew was that we wanted to create comfortable living space in our basement. They helped us design two beautiful rooms and a full bath. We had a budget in mind and they worked with us to stay within that budget. As the project was progressing, we were able to tweak a few things and that never seemed to be a problem. They were extremely accommodating with these changes. All of their workers were professional, trustworthy, and courteous. Dan, the project manager was in and out frequently to monitor the progress and readily responded to our questions and concerns. We would definitely call upon Froze for any future projects.

We just finished a 7-8 month full home remodel with Froze Design Build and couldn't be happier. From planning with Dick and Denise to working with Mike during the project, things could not have gone better. They were kind, professional, enthusiastic, helpful, knowledgeable and always took our needs into consideration. Not only were they wonderful to work with, but all of their subcontractors were too. All of our needs were met no matter how large or small. We would definitely recommend Froze Design Build for any project and look forward to working with them again in the future.

We were excited to meet with Richard Froze. We scheduled a time and when I called to confirm, I asked if he was possibly free the next day; I knew my husband would already be working at home that day. Told him no problem if he wanted to keep the original time, but he said the change was fine. He had a meeting that was supposed to go to 2:30 and then he would drive to our house for a 3pm appointment. 4:10 rolled around that day, still no sign of him, no call or text. My husband and I left to run errands and I called to tell him to not bother coming. He called me back a few minutes later saying the meeting ran over (an hour and a half over?) and he could be to us in 20 minutes. I said no, we were now running errands. He said he doesn’t take or make phone calls when he is with clients, but I have a sneaking suspicion he just forgot. I know I wouldn’t mind my contractor making a quick phone call to tell his next appointment he was running behind. I would appreciate it! He asked if we were still on for the original time scheduled and I said no thanks - if he can’t be on time or notify us of a delay for the first meeting, I don’t know what disaster a 4+ month project would be. Our initial meeting was scheduled over a lunch hour on a work day, and I would have been in major trouble if he had been an hour late to that - too risky. I was really drawn to the design/build bundle aspect his company offers, so if you’re willing to overlook the type of scenario outlined above or are super super flexible by nature, you might really like him. Their work seems good even if they aren’t great with people. I cannot comment on cost, since we never met about our addition project. The cost window stated is based on our knowledge of the complexity of the plans and project.

As a professional real estate and architectural photographer I am in hundreds of homes, much of them high end properties. After photographing several projects for Froze Design Build I'm impressed in the level of detail, material choices and fit and finish of their completed projects.

The design and build team at Froze Design Build exceeded expectations. They took an 100 year old house with not enough public space and a badly designed kitchen and transformed the home into a stellar working kitchen with a lovely family room addition. Froze Design worked within our budget, completed the work done correctly, with quality workmanship and materials. Their finished carpenter was awesome!

Very, very professional and very, very cooperative. The work took a bit longer than estimated; I am very pleased with the finished product. It met my expectations completely. I would recommend Froze to others with no reservations.

Services included initial meeting, many suggestions that we had not considered, design, visits to companies and selection of materials and products, supervision of sub-contractors, follow-up to take care of anything that needed tweaking, delivery and disposal of dumpster, and a follow-up meeting. Dick was patient and helpful in guiding us to select materials and products, allowing us the time and space to figure out what we really wanted. Mike was wonderful in supervising sub-contractors and keeping us up-to-date with what would happen next and when. The sub-contractors were communicative and helpful, making suggestions when necessary or asking our opinion about the placement of outlets, etc. We are extremely pleased with the results of our project and will gladly refer others to Froze Design-Build.

Froze Design Build did an incredible job remodeling our kitchen and half bath. From the start FDB was easy to work with and extremely responsive to ideas and concerns. They walked us through the remodeling process and made everything go smoothly. We love our transformed space.

We just completed a remodel of our master bathroom using Froze Design-Build. Going into the project I had some very specific ideas about fixtures I wanted, the color scheme and some general design ideas. The design team worked with my original ideas and made some really constructive suggestions to make the space more aesthetically pleasing and more usable. The drawings provided by the design team were especially helpful in visualizing the completed project. I was kept involved throughout the entire project, which was much appreciated. Before the project started I was introduced to all of the subcontractors who would be working in our home. Each subcontractor was extremely professional and responsive whenever I had a question. The general contractor kept me informed of the work schedule and let me know what to expect from week to week. The new bathroom is stunning and I couldn't be more pleased.

We hired Froze Design-Build to help us with a remodel of our kitchen, master bathroom and powder room. Denise and Dick gave us a great design and Mike, Jimmy and the rest of the team executed our vision of an updated living space. We would highly recommend them.

Froze Design-Build recently completed a major kitchen renovation in our historic home on the East Side of Milwaukee. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dick Froze and his entire team. It was clear they have been working together for a long time. The company is a "well-oiled machine". Froze came up with the best design layout - which was not easy when trying to blend a 1902 kitchen/butler's pantry. We were able to keep the original foot print but opened walls and created a space that is much larger and accommodates how we live today. Yet the style of woodwork and materials are fitting for a turn of the century home. Froze worked with our budget and was able to value engineer the project to a place we were happy with financially. There were minimal change orders and surprises. His expertise helped us move swiftly through the decision making process. We will definitely work with them again!
