We worked with Rock Creek Innovations to come up with a creative solution for our oddly-shaped and poorly landscaped backyard. What Ellis, Penny, and team proposed and executed is beautiful, functional, and easy to maintain - which was a primary goal. From project inception to installation, everyone at Rock Creek was professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. We highly recommend.

Would highly recommend Ellis and his crew! Very professional! From quoting to planning to implementation, they were first class; and their communication was excellent. Didn’t have to wonder what was going on, or it would be done correctly. They take pride in their work!

This company was exceptional to work with. From early phase discussions with the sales and marketing director, Hannah, to working hand-in-hand to develop a detailed scope of work with the owner, Ellis, it was an amazingly seamless process. They communicate extremely well and were done on time and the quality of their product is tremendous. Would recommend them to anyone. We're absolutely loving our new patio and fire pit!! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

We cannot recommend Rockcreek Innovations enough! They are the most professional, talented, attention to detail, and innovative contractor that we have ever used. They turned our swampy, dark backyard into a travertine paradise. Retaining wall, lighting, drainage, decorative stone, landscaping. The project came out even more beautiful than we imagined. The Owner, Ellis Whiltshire, is extremely professional as he draws up fastidious plans that the entire team follows to a T. They focus so closely on making each part of the job absolutely perfect. And they will continue to fix a problem until it is 100% right. The entire team are truly the best of the best. I never once felt nervous having them work around my house or my children. Rockcreek treats it’s employees like family which impressed both my Husband and myself. We are about to start our phase 2 of our backyard project with Rockcreek. Quite honestly, we couldn’t imagine using anyone else!

I am a custom builder in the Richmond area and was looking to hire a landscape design / build firm for my personal home. After interviewing several companies we chose Rock Creek Innovations. Ellis , Penny and their team did an amazing job! We were very pleased! They installed retaining walls, paver sidewalks, driveway, boulders and a complete landscape and lighting package. One of the most professional companies I have ever worked with!!

I would highly recommend Rock Creek Innovations. They were professional, curteous and always left the worksite as clean and picked up as possible. OUr project included a large patio, walk way, firepit, out door grill and landscaping, We could not be happier with the work they did. THe ouside space is beautiful. Ellis Whitshire was wonderful to work with - always answered emails/texts or phone calls immediately and he personally was on the site frequently to check the progress or to do work.

The Rock Creek crew built my patio and fire pit on time and on budget. They were very professional and patient with us through the entire design process and truly walked us through various option and costs. The labor crew was very professional and trustworthy. We couldn't be happier with the end result. Ellis and his team are excellent.

Ellis and his team did an amazing job on our backyard. His design was fantastic; he was great to work with, and oversaw every step of the design, purchase, and installation. He was trustworthy and responsive; I can't recommend Rock Creek enough.

All of the other reviews are spot-on. Ellis and crew deliver on what they promise. They spent close to two months at my home completing all of the hardscaping and landscaping for an outdoor swimming pool, fire pit and spa. They also subcontracted a screened in porch for us. We had spoken to many contractors before RCI, and we were grateful to find Ellis. In a lot of ways, he acted like a General Contractor although he did not charge us for his expertise. He just often told us what we needed to do and suggested folks to call. This saved us a tremendous amount on out final price-tag on a large project. Ellis designed our space after attempts from others failed....and helped us to use what we already had to get exactly what we wanted while still adhering to our budget. Pricing estimates were accurate (sometimes the crew even helped out other contractors on-site at no extra charge to us.) The crew (Billy and Gang) were fantastic. They were professional, courteous and paid great attention to detail. I really felt like they cared about what we wanted. One time, there was some confusion over the color of grout. It was probably my fault, but they changed EVERY speck of grout without grumbling because they wanted us to love the completed work.

Ellis and team created a gorgeous patio with fire pit. They were always on time, extremely professional and everything came out even better than we expected. They completed the project in the time allotted and then did a final walk through to make sure everything was up to our specification.

I had Rock Creek Innovations, redo a retaining wall on Lake Salisbury. Could not be happier with Ellis, very helpful with ideas. His crew were on task, communication excellent from start to finish. It looks great. Every project is different, but I give him 5 stars.
