We worked with Nicole to redesign our historic row house kitchen and downstairs bathroom. It was a very challenging project not only because of the shape and size of the space but because we wanted to expand our half bath into our kitchen to accommodate a freestanding tub. Nicole was an absolute dream to work with! She did a beautiful job helping us optimize our space and finding creative solutions for some of the awkward issues that come with an old home. I loved how thoughtful and detailed she was and seeing her digital design felt like being on an episode of Fixer Upper! She even went above and beyond by exploring my Pinterest boards to add tiny details to the design that she knew I would love. I have and will continue to recommend Nicole Rutledge Design to anyone I meet that needs design work!

Nicole has a clean, aesthetic with a modern feel that quickly captured our attention. She was able to move a large team of people in one direction. Nicole was tasked with re-designing a large community space to include leisure, dining, study and storage in an historic, residential building. She never missed a cue and effortlessly incorporated modern pieces into the traditional space so that the overall appearance is fresh and the space functions for today's student. Nicole focused in on our needs immediately and allowed those needs to drive the design. She provided story boards and 3 dimensional diagrams that allowed us to visualize the overall plan. We were able to select what we felt best suited our taste and function. Nicole has a light presence that readily puts people at ease but she is not timid about letting you know if you are going astray from form or function. She communicates effectively and is mindful of deadlines. She has great attention for detail and our final product is fabulous. I wish I had another space for her to design!
