We used S&D Renovations for a full house renovation. They went above and beyond with the full project. Their employees we amazing and happy to make adjustments as needed. Steve was always checking in to make sure the project we running smoothly and that we were happy with the progress. I can't say enough about the quality and service that we received from S&D Renovations.

As an architect, I am always trying to find the perfect contractor for each job and client. Steve Dormann and S&D Renovations are one of the best residential construction companies I have worked with in over 20 years of my professional experience. They took care of my clients through every step of the construction process, helped with budgeting, solved problems in a professional manner. My clients loved working with their craftsmen throughout the process; they kept a clean site and made sure every detail was taken care of through the end of the project.

I rate the services provided by this contractor as excellent. The quality of work and craftsmanship was very good. They were open to small adjustments along the way and were genuinely helpful. We are very pleased with the end result and would readily use them again.

S&D completely renovated our master bath. We couldn't be happier with the process and results. Every worker and contractor that came into our house was respectful and professional. It was a collaborative process that was flexible, thorough, and enjoyable. We would recommend S&D to anyone and will use them again in the future.

We hired S&D to totally re-do our hall bath. They helped us every step of the way with deciding exact scope to choosing all the products. When the work started, the communication was excellent. We always knew when they were going to be there and what they were working on that day. When unexpected issues arose (leaks, etc.), they were great. Upon completion, they were excellent in finishing the little details like covering nail holes or slow, leaky drains. They made sure we were satisfied with their work.

One of the biggest selling points was that Steve brought his team of subcontractors on his first visit. I got to meet them, and they were all involved in the process from the start. His architect was knowledgeable and flexible, and the combination of his and our ideas really helped to create a working, usable design with limited available space. Steve and Patrick and their team communicated with us throughout the project, kept us advised on when our input was needed, and were flexible with their scheduling. When a visit from out-of-state family put a strain on us for room, S&D worked with us so that we could use portions of the new space during their visit, even though it wasn't entirely finished. The quality of the completed work is great. My mother-in-law couldn't be happier.

In 2006 I hired S&D Renovations for the first time to renovate my attic which included raising a dormer so a new bathroom could be added during the renovation. I have used them for multiple projects since that time. New siding, new windows and 2 decks. A totally renovated first floor bathroom that needed to be taken down to the studs. And just this past spring when they put a temporary ramp on the back on my house to make it wheelchair accessible. ( they needed to shovel snow one day do they could get it done for me) Happy I found them the first time because they did such a wonderful job with the attic I would not think about hiring anyone else, Next project a total kitchen remodel.

We added 1200 square feet to our home, including an enlarged dining room and master bedroom. We also added a new exercise room, master bathroom, laundry room, and master closet. Additionally, we renovated a guest bathroom. We had a great experience with S & D. The craftsmanship was top quality, and they went to great lengths to follow our specifications. The workmen were polite, neat, as well as skillful. We were especially concerned with maintaining the look of our original home design, and S & D did a exceptional job in meeting that goal. They matched our woodwork, window designs, and home structure flawlessly. We are very pleased with our addition and renovation and would highly recommend S & D Renovations.

S&D Renovations helped us plan and execute our dream basement! Steve and everyone else at S&D were so kind, respectful of our home, and masters in their craft. They made sure every inch of the basement was to our absolutely perfect! We recommend them highly!

Steve and his crew are top notch. My wife and I have done a number of renovations in the past, from simple paint and paper, to kitchen and bath, to major additions, and now a whole house remodel. S&D has been professional, punctual, and above all honest. Steve is on site personally, and always answers his phone and returns calls promptly. If you've never been in reno-hell before and went to S&D first, you're very fortunate. If you've been in reno hell like we have, working with S&D is the most refreshing and relaxing experience imaginable. Our project is a whole house reno, down to the studs. We moved walls, took out walls, and gutted it. Steve met all of the deadlines, his subs were fantastic, and we're in the house. There are still finishing touches, but that's our issue, not his. We have some smaller projects on the horizon, and S&D will be involved with every one.

My wife and I hired S&D to add a large master bedroom addition over our existing garage. S&D are a true Professional Contractor. A Company that stands behind their work. Quality work and their customers are the top priority. They were excellent in helping us in making the right decisions on the project and that includes making changes to the existing plans, and keeping us staying within our budget. They did a great job making sure we were not inconvenienced beyond what is expected on such a large job. They made us feel comfortable and confident that the project will be done right. Great team to work with, great communication on project details. Everyone from the owners to the craftsman were professional and courteous I would highly recommend them to anyone.

S&D did a tremendous job. Excellent attention to detail, quality workmanship, thorough cleanup and very open to correction of any issues I noticed. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

We hired S&D Renovations to finish our basement for my mother in law. The created a suite/studio apt for her that is beautiful. The workers were very respectful, they kept the area clean and the work was flawless. Very neat and detail oriented, always open to suggestions and easy to communicate with. The subcontractors they worked with on our basement project were also of the same quality, very professional. We highly recommend S&D Renovations!

We've had S&D do work in two of our homes. In both cases we had them remove supporting walls and redesign spaces. Steve, the owner, is accessible, responsible and very good with the details of a job. The men that do the work are equal in their professionalism. We were very happy with the work they did, have referred them to others and would use them again ourselves.

We hired S&D Renovations to complete a whole home revovation. Upon first meeting with Steve, we felt immediately comfortable, confident in their craftsmanship, and a complete level of honesty and integrity. Once the job began, it became very clear that they were the real deal. The project held closely to the preset schedule, and rarely deviated; coming in within days of the original completion date. The scope of the work, and the level of care of each employee and sub contractor Steve employed was unbelievably impressive. Change orders and material changes were handled with professionalism. Work on a change order was never started until we signed off on it. The complete project tied in an older home with a brand new addition. Where the two meet looks as though they have been there forever. I credit Steve and all of the employees of S&D Renvovations for exceeding our expectations on this renovation. I strongly recommend S&D for any/all renovation job. Their level of detail, and the care for the client is unmatched.

S&D was contracted to remodel main bathroom, this entailed a complete gut and installation of high end products and finishes. The project eventually expanded to the living room and enclosed sun room, both rooms had carpet removed and hardwood refinished or tile installed. The project was completed on time and within quoted budget, all S&D workers were professional and highly skilled. I enjoyed working with Steve Doorman or his designated representative as required to review any project / budget decisions. I would, and have, recommended S&D to others for any size home renovation.

I hired S & D Renovations to renovate the entire first floor of my home including family room, library, home office and kitchen. Work included installation of tile floor and backsplash, granite countertops, drywall, removal of wood burning fireplace and replace with gas fireplace, interior doors, painting, lighting, hardwood floors, stair railing, and exterior front door. Everyone who worked on my project was clean cut, respectful and pleasant to be around. They kept the work area clean and work was completed in a timely manner. Project was completed within budget and I was kept informed of all steps along the way. Owner was knowledgeable, honest and on top of every detail. He was always available to answer questions and returned phone calls promptly. They made this large project go smoothly with little disruption to my family.
