Jorge and his team turned my unfinished basement into a beautiful living space. The original basement had concrete floors, exposed ceilings, an exposed HVAC system and dim lighting. It now includes an area to relax and watch TV, a half-bathroom, a laundry room and storage space. Jorge guided my husband and I through the process, helping us understand what decisions we needed to make and when. His team was courteous and respectful of my home. I'd recommend Smart Hammer for a project like this, and have already hired them again to renovate my kitchen.

I have to say that from start to finish jorge went out of his way to please. His deck crew were exceptionally experienced and if they didn’t make it right the first time they went back and made it right the second time . I personally believe if anyone is looking for a new deck or repair or paint or a new roof this man is Without doubt more honest than most of the companies out there now. I cannot say enough good things about him and his deck crew if I could give him a 10 star he would get it .It’s nice to meet somebody for a change who only wants to please his clients and not take their money.I will use him when the time comes to waterproof the balusters and some of the trim work.Well Done ~thank you~

Jorge was responsive, accommodating, easy to work with, performed the work in a timely manner and we had no punch list items. My bathroom was in need of a remodel and Jorge from Smart Hammer was the best choice among several contractors who evaluated the project. His was the best quote in terms of quality and price. He brought a very qualified team, with professionals for each of the different stages of the project. The work was done while I was living in the apartment, but the workers were very careful with the movement of materials and attentive to daily cleaning. What I have most appreciated about their work is that not only have they been able to deal with the problems that arise in the remodeling of an old apartment, they have also been considerate of the many changes that I suggested during implementation. A special mention deserves the tile setter, who was able to follow my design to perfection.

Smart-Hammer was great to work with. We had a water penetration problem and over the course of five+ years we attempted to remediate it, including a failed French drain and a retaining wall/regrade of the opposite side. Jorge came to evaluate our property right at the appointed time and immediately identified the cause of our issue. The original construction of the garage was not correct and was missing a concrete curb on top of the slab which the wall should have been built on. It was encouraging to hear his assessment, as it matched the assessment of an independent architect as well. The team showed up right on time (if not a few minutes earlier) and got straight to work. They were tidy and cleaned up as they were working. I was thoroughly surprised at their speedy performance, and at how detail oriented they were. I really wish that I had known about Smart-Hammer before going through all our previous projects. Thank you, Smart-Hammer for knocking this project out of the park!

Excellent contractor! We are extremely pleased with the work done by the Smart Hammer crew. We gutted our master bathroom and replaced the upstairs carpet with hardwood. They were very professional and perfectionists when it came to even the smallest details. Everyone on the crew was very polite and respectful. Jorge was very helpful when it came to visualizing the space and what it would look like. They really captured my vision and brought it to life. We definitely plan to use Smart Hammer for future projects.

We have worked with Smart Hammer on several large jobs over 15 years and have been exceptionally pleased with all of the results. I wanted the stairs going down to the basement to swirl at the bottom, into the game room. 3 other contractors were baffled, but Jorge, being an engineer was able to make it happen for us. The results were spectacular. He has a lot of experience and was able to recommend what he knew would work well in the space. I recommend him highly!

Mr. Rojas is a true professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for another job and I enthusiastically recommend him based on my experience with him. My project involved updating a condo in a luxury building that had not been touched since it was first purchased over two decades ago. Mr. Rojas came highly recommended by my real estate agent, who has used him for multiple other projects. He gave me a concise and complete estimate. The job involved removing old window treatments, installing new carpet, redoing a laundry room floor, replacing all kitchen appliances, replacing existing ceiling lights, installing a drop ceiling in two areas as well as installing new lighting fixtures in the new ceiling areas. Some of the ceilings had to be refinished and everything was painted. New fixtures were installed in two bathrooms, new counter tops installed in the kitchen and cabinets in the kitchen and butler's pantry cleaned and new hardware installed on the drawers and cabinets. He finished on time and on budget. I couldn't be happier.

Mr. Rojas’ company prepared a proposal to update/remodel my old kitchen, which included installing a new stacked washer and dryer, new countertops, painting and range hood. The proposal was detailed, described exactly what he would do, and at a very fair price. I accepted it immediately and we began working together and getting to know what a fine, honest, knowledgeable and professional person Mr Rojas is. He was very responsive to any questions, was always prompt, and overall a pleasure to work with. He assisted me in selecting quartz countertops and because I was going to have back surgery soon, he also put safety bars in my bathroom! My kitchen looks new and really good looking and I now have a safe bathroom. He finished the job as proposed and on time. I can have ho higher recommendation for Smart Hammer and do so without reservation. I will call upon Mr Rojas again.
