Post-Harvey I reached out to Ms. Sophia at Sophia Design for help on transforming my space to a place I would not just like, but love. My 1960's ranch was closed off and did not function very well by today's standards. I wanted an open concept. Sophia came in with ideas I could not dream of and had no idea was possible with my space. Sophia Designs used my existing space to open a wall to enlarge your Kitchen/ Family room, create a new bedroom and closet, AND found space for a utility room in the house. Needless to say I was more than pleased. If I must say so myself, my home is beautiful, thanks to Sophia Designs. Friends and family have commented that they cannot believe it is the same space. Ms. Sophia listened to what my needs were and blew me away with her expertise. If you are looking for someone to help you with design ideas, someone to take your home from blah to beautiful, I would more than recommend Sophia Designs. Ms. Sophia is nothing short of AMAZING!

It is a pleasure working with Sophia. She listened to my needs and went right to work putting together a bid and finding the items I needed for my home. My original project included updating my living room and master bedroom, but my plan changed and I had to delay work on the master bedroom. Sophia had absolutely no problem with the change in scope and budget for my project. She is talented, patient, professional and kind. I look forward to working with her again in the future. I highly recommend Sophia to anyone looking for help with their design needs no matter how big or small.

This is the second project I have done with Sophia. So far, we have: 1. Reuse re-purposed, reupholstered, and redone many rooms in the house for a fresh clean and classic look. 2. Created The Foyer for a graceful and beautiful entrance with items specified and table found. 3. Specified rug, lamps, fabrics and accessories , fabrics for upholstery and window treatments. 4. Design window treatments / cushions 5. Edited and move plants, rugs, and furniture pieces to other areas, or use later. 6. Created a game room that the family can grow into for years to come with many stations that are comfortable and useful... areas for storage, reading, crafting , watching movies. 7. Been mindful of Use of Lighting, lighting fixtures, great patterned fabric, fun colors used. 8. Contracted custom cabinet maker for built-in for game-room. 9. Shop for sectional and other for game room. 10. Added an important wonderful chandelier to the dining room to compliment design and scale of the room. Sophia's strengths are in picking a color story and ensuring the rooms all flow together. She is also mindful of existing pieces and really understands my vision for my home. I would trust her on many projects.

I hired Sophia to help me put my house back together after Hurricane Harvey. She has been a godsend. She helped me with kitchen layout, countertop, backsplash, flooring, color, lighting and all fixture selections. She has also helped me reupholster and refurnish furniture salvageable from the flood and helped me in purchasing an informal dining table (farm table), chairs, bar stools etc. She worked with my style and helped me achieve the look that I wanted for my house. She is efficient; she narrowed choices down for me so that tasks were not overwhelming, etc. She is reasonable in price and understands where to spend money and where to save money. I will post pictures when It is completed. I highly recommend Sophia and Sophia Designs for your design needs.

The best recommendation I can give Sophia Designs is that I would not hesitate to use her and her team again. There were a few bumps along the way, but Sophia Designs was always courteous and took care of whatever my issues were. Some of the things I think could improve on were the drawings for the work to be done. I thought they could have been more detailed to bring the customer into the process a little better in the initial stages. But the bottom line is the work. On that note I would give her and her team high marks. The demo went smoothly as well as the installation of custom cabinets, plumbing, electrical, granite, and all the tile work for the shower and floors. The finished bathroom is truly a thing of beauty. Give her a call. You will be glad you did.

We have never worked with a designer before and we were not sure what to expect. I am happy to say it has been a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone decorating their new home. Sophia met with us at our current home to see what our ideas are for our new house. She spent time with us looking at furniture that we will be taking with us, the colors we like, art work we have, rugs, etc. We then met again at the house we are moving into to see the renovations we wanted to do and her suggestions. She helped me make color decisions (narrowing down the choices, which I needed) changing fireplace stones, window treatments, built in cabinets, renovating the master bath & closet, light fixtures and list goes on and on! She just knew what I would like before I even though of it. She stayed within our budget and even made suggestions about how to save money on one project in order to use it somewhere else more interesting (or just save it all together). It has been a wonderful experience and I am so thankful she is helping us make our new house a home. Thank you Sophia Designs & I look forward to a continued collaboration!
