We contracted Spanjer Homes to finish the lower level of our home. We were impressed with the thoughtful and insightful recommendations during the design process. The entire Spanjer team made time to explain cost tradeoffs and help us understand implications. Once we signed the contract, the Spanjer team worked with us and our schedule to complete the project on time and on budget. Spanjer Homes is an incredibly knowledgable and experienced home building team. Our project was a challenging remodel/rebuild, and Spanjers did an outstanding job of combining respectful supervision, skilled subcontractors, and commitment to meeting deadlines and working within the budget. And, the best part of all… it was so much fun!

Originally built in the '70's, our home in Ft Collins was in desperate need of a remodel and we were recommended to the Spanjers by several local acquaintances in Colorado. We chose them not as the lowest bidder but as the one with the highest reputation since we would not be present for most of the actual project. We were not disappointed. Barb & Steve became both general contractors and counselors in our remodel experience. It is amazing how much they genuinely cared about the details and the budget while working this project. It was as if this was to become their own future home. We appreciated that the foreman and workers who started the project saw it all the way through. The design phase actually started in 2008 but the economy faltered and Spanjers stayed with us until we were finally ready to start construction in 2011. The project finished on-time and we moved up from Arizona to a practically new home. There have been some minor adjustments as the house settled in and the Spanjers have been there every step of the way to fine tune and make our house a home. We couldn't be happier.

As a fellow member of an NAHB Builder 20 Group I have found Steve and Barb Spanjer to be one of the most respected members of our group.
