This is a great custom woodworking shop. With skilled Vermont craftspeople and state-of-the art equipment, it’s large enough to handle any job yet small enough that we worked directly with the co-owner on cabinetry for a renovation of kitchen, baths, and laundry. He is full of creative suggestions, but he’ll also listen to your ideas and honor them in his final designs. We would gladly work with Stark Mountain again. We recommend them highly.

We used Skimmer and his team at Stark Mountain earlier this year for a complete kitchen remodel on our 1795 farmhouse in Vermont. Stark Mountain was recommended to us by several folks but we didn't realize the extent of their quality work until we visited the unique showroom and got to know him and his team. Skimmer worked with us on all aspects of the kitchen design, visiting our home frequently and really getting to know what we wanted out of the project -- and then worked with us to design the overall layout, custom cabinets, a large pantry and really think through lots of design details. The project came in on budget -- and having worked with several contractors over the years, I truly appreciate that. We are extremely happy with the outcome (went from having a dusty, outdated kitchen with no space to a contemporary light-filled space which has given great life to our living room as well) and not only did we get an amazing kitchen that we now spend 90% of our time in, but we also got to know Skimmer and have a great appreciation for his talent, eye for detail and ability to translate our vision into reality. I would wholeheartedly recommend him for any project you are considering.
