Joel from the Screening Room was amazing! He is prompt, courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He got our entire theatre up and running in record speed. He installed a Sonos system so we could hear music throughout the entire house, while simultaneously integrating this with equipment we already owned. He made sure I was comfortable with the operation of the entire system before he left. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company for your AV needs!

Five star plus!!! I purchased a Sony 75X900E from "The Screening Room A/V" on July 6th, 2017. It was installed on July 14th, 2017. Right from the get go - John was upfront about pricing and the installation process. Paul was fantastic and he really knew everything about the Sony set I wanted and how it works. What a fantastic job they did taking out my older Samsung 65ES8000, running new cables, mounting it and getting it up and running. Paul and Joel are experts and getting it right the first time - - and answering all my questions (i.e. - putting up with me during the installation process!) This was interesting - the box was crushed a bit on the right side when it was picked up by my dealer at the local FedEx. They said right away that if there are any problems, Sony would replace it. After opening it, we noticed even the styrofoam packing was cracked. To my amazement, the TV booted right up and the panel looks great -- knock, knock. They really pack the 900E solidly. Wow - incredible picture and boy is this picture bright in a darker room! And my OPPO 103 Bluray discs look phenomenal on this set. So does my Roku Premier+ as run through my older Denon x5200 AVR. ARC works fine - DD+ is transmitted but one caveat -- when switching back and forth from ARC - you might need to reboot your AVR or at least toggle between the inputs. All in all - a very pleasant experience with "The Screening Room A/V," and I highly recommend them for any home theater or TV purchase you are considering. Top notch!!!

I have been working with John for many years for nearly every home theater purchase I've made. I first bought a projector from him more than a dozen years ago. Since then, every upgrade (many) has been a fantastic experience. I'm always impressed with the personal attention, responsiveness, and just the general willingness to make sure I'm happy with everything. You can't go wrong here - they love this hobby just as much as any of their customers!

This is my second time working with John and his team and I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in home theater equipment, design and installation. I first met John over 10 years ago when I bought a projector and some screen material for my basement family room. After visiting his home in Gleneagle where we were able to see and compare lots of different models of projectors and screens, John brought samples out to our home to see how things would work in our specific environment/lighting conditions. So when we moved to a new home in Castle Rock last year, and I was planning my ultimate dream home theater in dedicated room in our to-be-finished basement, I was thrilled to find that John was still in the business. We went back to his home to see what had changed over the years and over the course of a couple visits, we were able to demo a bunch of different options and hone in on what we wanted. John then came up several times during the project (pre-build, framing, wiring, finish) to make sure we had proper placement of all equipment and that we were maximizing our investment in the room's construction to complement the investment in equipment we were installing. His installer, Joel, was a fantastic guy to work with and he came up on multiple occasions to help me get everything set up to perfection: screen installation, projector placement and mounting, speaker cut in and wiring, even helping me pick out the right remote to control it all and spending many an evening or Saturday afternoon visiting and making tweaks to everything to make sure I was 100% satisfied (and boy, am I!) Throughout the process, John was never a pushy salesman, but rather a guide and advocate for me through the whole process. He is not interested in pushing you into buying the top-of-the-line, most expensive products in his line, but rather buy the RIGHT equipment for your specific space and then work with you to get everything set up and calibrated properly so that you will get the most bang-for-your-buck no matter what system you end up putting together. John and Joel continue to be available for my questions even after the completion of the project and I would not hesitate for a minute to recommend them to anyone who wants to get the best home-theater experience they can.

John was a great resource to work with in purchasing a front-end Revel speaker system. He was always willing to answer questions and more importantly provide constructive feedback to help me arrive at the right choices. As a Revel dealer he was instrumental in providing post-purchase support when a need arose. I trust his judgement and his integrity when making purchases on this level and recommend him to anyone that needs the products that The Screening Room carries. John & Co provided me with immensely helpful information regarding my choice in speakers (super hi-end). When the local dealer wouldn't answer emails after persistent replies (known issue here with multiple of my friends), I reached out to John. John made sure it was ok to sell to me even though I am across the border and when it was he saw to my shipment even days and weeks after it arrived to make sure I was happy and had what I needed. That is going the distance, an exemplary model of customer service. Highly recommended.

I have found The Screening Room to be the best in help and service with all things A/V. It started with my general questions about projector lenses and installations. They have bent over backwards to help me and answer my many questions with knowledge and complete professionalism. At no time did I feel pressure or put off by my lack of understanding. John is absolutely amazing! After doing lots of research and talking to countless sales reps, I came across John on a popular av forum. John is an extremely knowledgeable expert in the field of home and commercial audio and his approach towards helping me so genuine that I couldn't even think about giving anyone else my business. Extraordinary experience! First rate service! Extremely happy with John's Schuermann's recommendation on the Jbl 708i, Jbl s2s-ex, and Jbl amps! I'm new to Jbl pro.
