I had TFS complete a timber frame entrance using mortise and tenon joinery to a new home using stained Douglas Fir as well as a decorative gable truss and other timber posts to provide architectural accent to the home. The communication through the process made me very comfortable with the off site work and the installation workmanship was excellent. I have since retained TFS to do similar work.

Mark did an amazing job with the timbers on my new home. I hired him to construct timber framing for my front and back porch and I have not had one friend, family member or construction trade come to my house since they were completed without commenting how awesome they look. Mark used large 10 x 10 timbers out of rough cut pine for the posts and had to put the 10 x 14 beam on the back porch in place with a crane. It was stained with Sansin cocoa stain which I was very happy with. The timber framing was worth every penny as it is one of the defining, signature features of my home. When we asked how to create a mantle for our fireplace Mark suggested a beautiful live edge pine beam. We can now choose the colour of stain. Looks like it was always there!
