My experience with Stone Specialist Jay Hearn at Travertine Warehouse was top notch! I was continually impressed at the quick responses, superior customer service, competitive pricing, reasonable shipping costs and outstanding quality of the product. The pieces were veined beautifully and arrived under the anticipated breakage. Jay provided samples on multiple occasions to help us with our decision. All business was transacted virtually as I live in Upstate NY. Thank you for making our beautiful patio possible! A true pleasure to do business with!

I Bought 5500 sq feet of travertine from travertine warehouse aka travertine aka Stone Mart. Can I start saying the experience was of a salesman trying to get your money asap without delivering the pictures and back and forth twenty times with false promises typical bait and switch price . I couldn't trust the salesman , but as price was in my budget and i spent so much time back and forth despite my gut feeling telling me not to I took the plunge. Worse decision of my life, as the travertine sent to me was called Premium ( nothing more than Industrial grade at best ) on there quote and the samples they sent were small 2 by 2 very dense travertine which made me believe they have good quality . The travertine was in two size, French pattern and 6 by 12. The contractor tried to tamp the travertine and broke half of them and , said the travertine was not Premium . I bought locally albeit 1.5 times price, for the remainder of project but the difference was day and night in the density of travertine. I went to Florida and marked the tiles which looked ok , and they said will not open the crate . They had intensionally kept the good tiles outside and all bad ones were deceivingly stacked inside. The ones sent by travertine warehouse was porous, breaking on slightest pressure and they had stashed good tiles outside and bad ones inside . I had delivery of these travertine in a long truck and the the fork lift won't fit in the groove as its non standard took 6 hours of me personally unload the crates. The unprofessional self proclaimed manager Jay called to say I got to pay extra as truck stayed extra 2 hours, which i told him was not my mistake as the pallets sent were not standard size and won't fit the teeth of forklift.
The travertine was bought for driveway as well and they are cracking like eggshell / approximately 30% was very bad quality which was unusable and spent $2000 on just dumpster to trash all the trash travertine ( yes that added to the crap cost and experience) the experience so far is so sour that i really beg anybody who is reading it please spend extra money (or same money ) but don't buy from these guys as this is the worst online experience I had. If you have budget constrained, don't go with travertine and buy something like bluestone which is more forgiving , or else but do not get laced into this online scheme. If me spending time on writing this saves even one person , i will consider time well spent . Worst experience ever .

BEWARE!!!! Terrible experience, terrible company. Ordered 1000 sq ft of travertine for a pool deck. Jay Hearn the sales rep promised delivery 3-4 days MAX and assured i could have my contractors start over the weekend. He lied. Material came 4 WEEKS later. He was pleasant up until i paid for the order, then he ignored my emails, phone calls and voice mails. Spoke to a manager Eric barthelemy who gave me his word he would follow up but never heard back from him. Project ended up costing me $$$$ more because they are incompetant. My advice...STAY AWAY!!!

We ordered 444 sq ft of 24x24 sized ivory travertine pavers and 850 sq feet of 16x16 ivory travertine pavers from Travertine Warehouse, aka StoneMart, to use in our pool patio.
PROs:
* Shipping was very quick
* Prices were much lower than TravertineMart.
CONs:
* Color was not ivory (at all)
DETAILs:
Before our order was shipped, we received a shipping invoice from Travertine Warehouse via email. The pdf had a different color, "country classic", listed for our 24x24s pavers. After seeing this, we called Jay Hearn, the sales guy we were working with, and he assured us we were going to receive ivory.
Fast forward a week or so...
After unpacking a few pavers, we noticed that the 24x24s were a completely different shade of color than the 16x16s*. We asked Jay to help us figure out how to handle the situation. He asked for pictures, so we sent him some of the 16x16 ivory color next to the 24x24s (see attached for an example).
After looking at pictures, he insisted that they were indeed ivory, and that the tiles we were looking at just had the natural color variation that all ivory travertine pavers had. He also said they were sold out of the 24x24 pavers, and wouldn't be able to replace them even if we wanted to. He asked us to keep the pavers if we'd take a discount.
We said okay, maybe we'll try to make it work, and probably we're freaking out over nothing. We took a 10% discount and decided to keep the pavers. (There really wasn't a way for them to get them back without hiring a fork lift since our driveway was at the bottom of a slight hill).
Jay asked us to send them photos once we got them installed.
We finally got around to installing them, and boy was it an eye sore.
The 24x24s were indeed a completely different color than the 16x16s. Some were ivory, but most were dark brown, or orange with black veins. They did NOT blend at all with the nearby ivory 16x16s.
Our contractor stood over our patio shaking his head while looking at the partial installation.
We're now pulling up what we've installed so far and replacing them with real ivory pavers we got from a local stone supply store (which happened to have an equivalent price to TravertineWarehouse - we should have used them in the first place!)
Jay never responded to my email with the installation photos.
Although our 16x16 pavers were nice*, based off the problems with the other batch, I would not recommend Travertine warehouse.
We now have ~400 sq feet of brown travertine laying around if anyone in the Atlanta area needs any :).
* The new ivory pavers we received from our local company were waayyy lighter than our original 16x16s. We were told Travertine Warehouse's 16x16s would not be considered premium due to the amount of color variation and darker tones.
Other Stats:
* The 16x16 pavers had 11 broken pieces out of 481 (not bad at all)
* The 24x24 pavers had no broken pieces, but only 110 out of 111 were shipped

The travertine stone was uniform thickness, big plus. Stone was shipped correctly, no broken tiles. I identified only 4 tiles out of about 93 that couldn't be fully used due to a seam that ran through the tile from back to face, but they were still useful for half tile use (corners, edges, etc).
The stone is very beautiful and the color tone of each tile was within an acceptable color tone range based on the samples we were sent. I've read reviews of other suppliers which customers received up to three different color tones.
Jay was good to work with, he sent samples after my first inquiry, which helped a lot. Overall communication was good, from inquiry to ordering to shipment status.
Note : my project cost is for tile, not entire project.

Shipping nightmare
Company won't stand behind 5%breakage warranty.
Product was beautiful and arrived exactly as described (except there was 13% unusable because of breakage).
I paid for curb side delivery.
On the day that the product was due to arrive the shipping company called and said that the skids weighed too much to get them off their truck and I would need to rent a fork lift or have it delivered to a loading dock. I refused. Travertine Warehouse offered the same solution and when I threatened to refuse delivery and stop payment they said that they would figure out another solution. I received a call from the shipping company to schedule another delivery for two days later. Travertine Warehouse said that the company separated the skids to make each lighter. Delivery arrived and skids weren't separated. Driver was unable to get skids over the edge of the truck without my son and myself helping push the skids.
I was told to inspect product immediately for obvious external damage and then a complete inspection within 24 hours. I notified the company immediately and took pictures of the large percentage of 16x24" pavers. Since, so many of that size pavers were broken, we are unable to complete 4 full sets of the pattern (64 sq ft).
I was told by the logistics cordinator that the manager said that the amount of damage was too small to make a claim, so I would have to pay to replace the pavers. Manager has refused to contact me directly even though I requested to speak with him/her.

Comment from Travertine Warehouse:
Cholzei,
I have recently taken over administering and maintaining our Houzz account. I am very unhappy to read about your review and experiences working with us. And I understand it is very much an issue that is now far in the past. I recognize completely that proper attention and timely resolution was not brought to your situation and on behalf of our company I would truly like to offer my apologies and ask that you please contact me directly if there is anything (albeit very late) I can do. My direct phone is (813) 676-1756.
