We are tree specialists and undertake all aspects of tree work in Whangarei and the wider Northland area. No trees too small or too big. We pride ourselves on efficient, sustainable and safe tree care. We work to the Arboriculture Code of Practice and undertake tree and hazard ID assessments before doing any work. This is crucial not only for our safety, but also that of your property and gardens etc. Most of our work is tree pruning - shaping, thinning, lifting, dead wooding, height reductions and complete removals. We are highly skilled in the removal of dead, dying and dangerous trees close to structures and use modern rigging equipment to dismantle trees in tight access areas. Our modern NZ made Hansa 6" chipper recycles all branches into a fine mulch for your garden or trees. It can access tight spaces and produce up to 5 cubic meters of high quality woodchip per hour, with a turntable that lets us work efficiently. We can leave what we can't chip as firewood rings or anything else you imagine - wood for smoking fish and meat, posts and poles for playgrounds, or carved seats, for example! Here and there we do planting projects but would like to do more of it, so let us know if we can help get your forest in the ground. We are planting trees on a private property to establish more living trees that we remove through our work. A big passion of ours is edible trees and we specialise in fruit tree pruning and orchard care for productivity and healthy trees. Old fruit tree spur regeneration and deadwood pruning, young tree training, cordon/espalliering on walls wires or fences, orchard design and installation, mushroom farming advice and wood supply, mulch for chicken and duck runs. Another passion of ours is reuse and so we do a lot of milling of trees we fell. We have small amounts of high value rare timbers for sale - slabs for benches and furniture, all sorts.
