When we remodeled our kitchen, we hired Stan Tucker initially to help us with the design. He had some terrific recommendations for how we should proceed, so we visited his (rather large) shop to see what his current works-in-progress looked like. Impressed by both the workmanship and the people working for him, we tasked him to build and install the three large pieces of cabinetry we had all agreed on. During construction, Stan visited the house a couple of times to check on the state of all the other work going on (new flooring, lighting, sinks, ovens, etc., etc.) and make sure there'd be no surprises when he delivered his work. His work was done on time, the quality was (and still is) superb, installation went without a hitch, and - somewhat important -- Stan's price, reasonable to begin with, never went up, even when we had to scramble to compensate for an unnoticed slope in the new floor that threatened to derail the center island installation; Stan solved the problem with some clever molding at the floor-cabinet interface, and to this date none of our visitors knows the slope exists.
When Stan was nearly finished with our kitchen, we casually mentioned that the wet bar in the adjacent fireplace room was a little shabby. His eyes lit up, he started showing us what he could do about it, we agreed, and a month or so later we had a redesigned wet bar, complete with an under-counter fridge, wine rack, frosted glass doors, ..., again, on-time and reasonably priced.
Since then, we've had Stan handle a couple of minor (to him, un-doable for us) jobs for us and are very happy with the results. Stan is one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet, and we can't recommend him highly enough.
