About Us

I am a licensed interior designer with a green thumb who dabbles in arts & crafts, and have an affinity for all things pop. My work spans the gamut from art and furniture to interior design and decorating. I am best known for my use of color and pattern, as well as my ability to seamlessly mix materials. When I am not working on commercial projects for the firm, you can find me flipping homes or working on my art products. Having over 10 years of design experience, I have been fortunate to work with all types of budgets, design styles and clients; making me the ideal designer for any project or person.

Joaquín designed our master bath and closet expansion for our 1930’s home. He was excellent to work with. Joaquín understood from the beginning our wishes and completed the process in no time. Very responsive to questions and all his ideas were the ideal ones even when we thought different. Don’t hesitate in using Joaquin for your next design and take all his ideas!

Joaquin exceeded all of my expectations. He worked closely with my firm at Trinita du Lac to completed a home renovation for a client with specific requests. Joaquin Abrego of JA Designs was such a pleasure to work with on the design of our master bathroom. During our first meeting he took measurements, listened to our vision, payed close attention to our home decor and asked specific questions. The discussion did not last longer than needed. A week or so later he sent over a few options of layout designs. Once we decided on the layout, he started presenting textile and fixture design options. When the main design was sent to us, we could not believe how pleased we were. It was exactly what we had in mind initially but with all the details. Our experience with Joaquin was the perfect investment for our project.

I worked with Joaquin not for a home but for our Chinese restaurant. About me: I have no eye for aesthetic décor but I did show and explain to him some of the things that I do and don't like. He made the process of working with him on designs very easy by always giving a few options to choose from to not be overwhelmed since there are always so many directions you can take. He will always take your feedback into consideration to help tailor the design into what you like but always giving his twist on things. It is his ability to give that extra little kick that helps differentiate a good design with his more exciting designs. He is also very mindful on your budget since that is on everyone's mind. If you ask his opinion he is straightforward and honest with his thoughts but not overbearing. I would gladly work with Joaquin again on another project

Joaquin with JA Designs is a true professional. His eye for transforming plain, boring spaces into warm, contemporary designs is amazing. He recently helped us furnish our new home. We asked that he create a contemporary style living area with a farmhouse feel and include natural woods and colors to enhance the appeal of the space So far we've had no shortage of compliments from friends and family. This is the second home that Joaquin has helped us with.

JA Designs was very professional and easy to work with. Offered great visuals and offered lots of alternatives if the item picked weren't exactly what I had in mind. Delivered finish product quickly and in a very organized easy to read format. I will definitely be using these services in the future and recommend to everyone I know!

Joaquin was extremely professional with great communication throughout the entire project. I was even more impressed with him coming out and talking with the contractor prior to the work being started. He knows his vision and knows how he wants it done. For a couple that lacks vision he reached into our minds and spit out exactly what we wanted! Will definitely use his services again and recommend him to family and friends!

Joaquin did an excellent job decorating our home. He listened to everything we discussed at our initial meeting and we loved everything he put together for us. He was very friendly and professional. We loved how everything came together and receive tons of complements on our home. My wife and I highly recommend JA Designs!

This was my first time working with a designer and after working with JA Designs I can not imagine working on a home improvement project without him. He is very thorough and detail oriented. He takes the time to get to know what your specific needs are and works with you until you are completely satisfied. He is also very responsive and has evening hours which are so helpful for working professionals. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.
