Beware of additional charges!!! Installation guidelines attached to the contract specify what will be done during the installation process. Example 1 The Wood Floor Store states “we install primed shoe moldings or primed quarter rounds that match your new floor”. What they do not tell you is this is a premium charge not included in your contract. Example 2 The Wood Floor Store did not reinstall folding doors, requiring us to hire a second contractor to do the work they did not preform. Beware of additional charges that you would assume are part of the contract.

Excellent job on severely buckled and damaged wood laminate floors. Talked with a half dozen other companies who all said floors were not fixable. Tom and his crew felt they could salvage the floors and today they look brand new!!! they were quick, responsible and most professional in all aspects.

The entire staff was friendly/professional. My husband and I were told that we would need to replace our main level wood floors. I was referred to The Wood Floor Store by a friend. Tom came over and looked at our floors. He said he wouldn’t replace them, they were in good shape just needed a little TLC. They came in and within 24 hours we were back in our house. We recently replaced the carpets in our home with hardwood floors (a renovation we were not looking forward to); however, working with Jan, Kathy, Tom, Mark and John made the entire renovation process quite enjoyable--from helping us choose the right flooring to preparing us for the installation to the completion of the installation resulted in beautiful looking hardwood floors complementing our home design and decor. Had water damage to our hardwood floors caused by intrusion from another unit in our building. Called Wood Floor Store, they sent technicians to make repairs. Work was done quickly, professionally and cleanly. The Wood Floor Store installed new flooring and stairs treads on a remodel job for me last week. I've worked with them numerous times in the past and they always do a wonderful job at a fair price. I would highly recommend them to any contractor or homeowner.

The owners, Kathy and Tom Goering, have always given us great advice. We've completed a few floors now in places we have lived and have always included Kathy or Tom in our flooring decisions. Their advice has helped us tremendously. Their prices on flooring and supplies are always very competitive and always great quality. We wouldn't dream of using anyone else!

I normally do not write reviews but in this case I wanted to because 1) this company truly deserves a great review and 2) maybe my review will save other homeowners both money and anguish by hiring the right flooring contractor in the first place. My wife and I found ourselves in the unfortunate situation of having to repair large defects in a newly installed wood floor. Our General Contractor and his flooring crew either did not know what they were doing or did not care...or both. We ended up having to take matters in our own hands to repair and contacted The Wood Floor Store for a consult as they were a member of the National Wood Flooring Association. We could not be happier with the work these guys did! We had some major issues but The Wood Floor Store did the repairs and also finished our wood floor exactly as promised during the initial consult. Everyone at this company was truly a pleasure to deal with, including the staff at the store and the installers at the house. I was very impressed with the professionalism and work quality. I highly recommend this company to anyone considering wood flooring installation or repair and it is the only wood flooring contractor I will consider for future needs.
