As an instinctive clutter bunny, and someone with no ‘natural eye’, creating beautiful spaces in my home was always going to be a challenge for me. I lack the time, patience and eye for detail that is required on such projects, plus have limited or no knowledge of where to start when sourcing furniture, lighting, paints and fabrics.
Sam has helped me on numerous different projects and every time I have been delighted with the end result. She brings great energy and enthusiasm to each project, and generates endless concepts and ideas to suit our budget and taste. She listens to my preferences, but also encourages me to be brave in my choices, and I have never regretted heeding her advice. She is sensitive to our needs as a family and the day-to-day practicalities of our house, and balances these expertly with aesthetics and design flair.
Sam has been behind the re-styling of kitchens, bedrooms and sitting rooms for me. For all of these projects, she has been able to source wonderful one-off vintage pieces, as well as providing links to contemporary websites, and accompanying me on shopping trips. Her knowledge of what is available – new, reclaimed, vintage – is extensive and invaluable. Each time, everything is brought together harmoniously in ways I could not have envisaged at the outset, and as a family, we all now take pleasure in the transformed spaces in our home.
