Windows Dressed Up

We just ordered 20 custom woven wood shades for our new home. Windows Dressed Up did all the measurements for us and installed the shades beautifully! The shades look amazing in our home! I would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for custom blinds!

Very bad experience with this company. The owner does not take any responsibility for their installer. The original order that had the rail color wrong necessitated reordering the blinds and created additional time and money spent on my part Windows Dressed Up promised to supply the scaffolding. The owner denied they ever agreed to supply the scaffold - which it eventually paid for after much aggravation and discussion about what I was promised when I ordered from them. According to the installer, the windows could not be measured correctly. If this was actually the case, they did not advise me of that issue and went ahead and measured - but did not measure each of the four skylight windows separately. The installer did not clean up after removing the existing blinds. I scheduled an outside cleaning company to clean after the project was complete, but Windows Dressed Up did not complete the job on time. The owner continues to deny he has anything to do with the installer even though my contract for the blinds including installation is with Windows Dressed Up not their installer. When I did try to contact the installer, they would not return my call. According to a Windows Dressed Up representative, that because they are a smaller local company, they are different and basically, do not offer the same level of service as a larger company One blind was defective and needed to have a part replaced which would have been OK except the installer thought he could just fix it himself which delayed the order of the part by another several weeks. The three blinds that were installed had light leaks and the molding material was showing though. The installer had to add additional foam to fix the light leaks. I was told I would not have to pay for the installation and the owner then denied ever saying that. The fourth shade does not fit the window - it is too short and there are light leaks in this window. The owner's excuses keep changing. Please be aware that signing a contract/order with them means that you agree to pay the entire amount when they receive the blinds - not after install. I regret that I didn't notice that on the contract. You don't have a lot of leverage to get everything done right and corrected when you have already paid in full!

Hannah was very easy to work with. She did a fantastic job with everything. I am a real estate agent so was helping a client that just moved into a new house and she was attentive and the material was exactly as the client wanted. Would recommend them highly.

I used Windows Dressed Up for shades on the main level of my home and for several bedrooms upstairs. Never have I been more pleased! The shades look fabulous and they finish off the rooms so nicely. Linnie and Bob are wonderful to work with, and Hannah, who always has a smile on her face, was so helpful when she came to my house to measure and help me decide on the perfect look for my home. The experience was simple, quick and professional and I am extremely happy with the end result. The windows look FANTASTIC!!! I can't wait to continue on with the other rooms this summer and have ALL my Windows Dressed Up! :)

A solid 4 stars. Highly recommended. 21NOV2014 Final 6/6 blind installed in 2 minutes today. Fits perfectly. 10NOV2014 Installer came today and quickly and competently installed 5/6 blinds. The 6th one was manufactured incorrectly (off by 1/4-inch). He took it away and within 1 hour we received a followup phone call telling us that the replacement had been ordered. 08OCT2014 The decision maker has made more visits. It appears we will be buying from here as soon as soon as we save up some more money. We looked at alternatives at other stores (e.g., Room & Board) and did not find anything we were happy with. 16SEP2014 Went in (with the chief decision maker, AKA wife) to get an estimate for shades. Bob & Linnie were extremely helpful. The product looks very good. I just wish the price were less. We have not made a buying decision yet.

We had no idea how to treat the windows in our new living room. Privacy was an important issue since our condo faces right at our neighbors windows, but we like having a lot of sunlight in our home. Also, we needed to have the ability to darken the room when we wanted to watch TV during the day. We were stumped until we found Windows Dressed Up. Not only did they find us a very unusual shading product to handle our lighting and privacy issues, they also really beautified our home. Thanks Linnie & Bob for finding the perfect window covering solution for us!
