“Jennifer Drain from Archiplicity was fantastic to work with for our new house design and construction project on Nantucket. She designed a layout that works for the way we live but also has a nice flow and interesting design. The exterior is stunning to look at and really captured the look we wanted, even with tight regulatory restrictions. As our project progressed, Jenny was a great problem-solver and budget-saver. She provided great customer service and creative solutions at every step. I'm so glad we took her advice on so many decisions. “Michael is a very capable and creative architect. I had the good fortune of acquiring his professional help and contracted with him to expand the first level of our “cape” house in Mattapoisett. We originally thought of modifying a previous family room addition to use as the basis of our new plans. Michael looked into that structure and determined that because of some floor issues and wall cracks that it was not structurally sound enough to use. I had full confidence in Michael’s recommendation; so, although it would cost more to destroy that structure and start over, we agreed. As the first phase started, my contractor ran into a very disturbing issue where the foundation of the initial addition was unstable. Michael was correct in his analysis. Michael is very thorough and meticulous. I highly recommend Michael Silva as your architect.”

“Katie has been a wonderful professional to work with. She is creative, very diligent and timely in her work. Katie has helped us organize our project very well, educating us on the entire design and building process. She has been very conscious about keeping us on budget and has worked very collaboratively with our builder. Katie listens well to our ideas, and is flexible and adaptive with her ideas. Her drawings, plans and schedules are clear and complete. We have wanted to be ecologically careful and design a home that is respectful of environmental factors. She has been a great support in these areas. She has also been a big help in designing our soft interior designs, carpets, window treatments, furniture, pillows etc. She helped us repurpose furniture that compliments our vision and has sensitively advised us on moving on items that do not compliment our project design. She has an eye for light, color and simplicity that I appreciate. She is the whole package.”

“We purchased a 1970, abandoned ranch on Cape Cod that ended up needing significant repairs. It was a total gut. Gerrit provided us with plans that not only met the strict zoning laws here, but gave us our dream home. He is very talented and very easy to work with. We met several times over a 6 month period, where he listened attentively to all our ideas and concerns and came up with solutions to everything. The house is beautiful!”

“Gail is a very talented architect, a pleasure to work with, and has unusual creativity. We began design of a new home with Gail Hallock, Inc. in April, 2011 after working with a number of other architects for about a year on preliminary designs. It was important to us that the architect understood the project holistically. Most seemed to concentrate on the exterior and not the livability & flow of the interior - requirements important to us. Gail deftly sketched throughout our conversations making sure we were on the same page. She was adept at picking up our 'style'. She does not produce cookie-cutter homes. During construction Gail handled problems adroitly and turned many into an opportunity to take something and make it even better. The creativity that Gail demonstrated with our home amazes me even today, a year after taking up residence. There's not a day that goes by that I don't look at some detail Gail created and think how beautiful it is and how lucky I am to live here. Gail is also one of the kindest people I have come across, plays well with others and was a strong and demonstrative advocate making sure that our home was built exactly as specified and with the correct materials throughout the project. We feel very fortunate to have found her. She does wear some fairly silly hats.”
