As our first and only choice, they clearly stood out among a dozen other architects in the area. We are in the midst of planning now and the process is almost painless. “John created a wonderful Maine Beachouse for us to entertain and eventually retire in. Working with strict EPA limitations he created, instead of a typical rectangular home facing south, a home of four staggered rectangles facing the southwestern ocean views. On the main floor, one is awed by the views and entertainment space but is unaware that there is a whole other wing on the main floor for our master bedroom and office. The second floor has its own entertainment space, bedrooms and a screened in room for our large family and visitors. John's tastes are of deep rich architectural details in continuity with modern design with a Maine flavor, from curved nautical doors to copper roofing. John is very confident in his work but also listens to our thoughts. When the DEP refused to allow outer decking on the upper floor we suggested to move a bathroom to an existing reading room and create a screened in room. We were all thrilled with John's redesign. John met deadlines , was on budget and was excellent working with town and DEP officers.”
