We met 1st Rate Ltd at the North Shore Home Show and shortly after invited Willy round to quote for the work we needed. We chose to fully re-decorate the whole interior of our house by skimming and painting all the walls, ceilings, doors and trims. The services provided by 1st Rate were fantastic. Willy and the team were excellent to deal with. Kind, courteous, knowledgeable, reliable, flexible, and excellent at what they do. We were happy to be able to deal with a local, family owned and operated company who care about their customers and work. The end result is fantastic, and Willy made it very easy for us when he had to work around other tradies. If you’re unsure about who to choose for the job you need doing, you won’t be disappointed if you choose 1st Rate.

I would recommend Willy and the team at 1st Rate. They were reliable, trustworthy and all communication was fast. Being an old villa rot was a problem, but all areas that needed attention were shown to me before proceeding with any work. Although our job was not particular a big job, I knew that they would turn up and stay with my job until completion - this doesn't always happen with other building/repair companies.

We hired this company to paint the exterior of our garage. They did a pretty poor job, no attention to detail. I had to spend a whole day to fix up their sloppy work afterwards.
They were very defensive and made up a bunch of lies when I pointed out the shortcomings of their work, very poor customer service. Very disappointing.
Today I received an email from this company requesting a review which said "To thank you - we'll be sending out a gift to everyone that posts a positive review."
This is just plain bribery.
My advice to the owners of the company: do great work, provide great customer service and customer recommendations will come. Bribing people to write positive reviews for you is not the way to have a long term successful company. And I wish you all the best.
