“We approached Refresh for our moderately extensive renovation (extension, new kitchen, bedroom and ensuite) after having spoken with a couple of builders previously. Our issue with the builders was that no one wanted to take on the whole project, and most builders prefer to be managed rather than managing a project like this. Refresh were different as they took on the whole process and are a single point of contact, which is exactly what we were looking for. Dealing with Cameron Ironside at Refresh meant they handled ALL subcontractors, scheduling etc. We dealt with subcontractors/vendors only to the extent of selecting materials, design choices, architectural input, etc. This is what we wanted, as we don't have the experience or inclination to handle the project, and wanted to be hands-off as much as possible. Our renovation was relatively stress-free, especially compared to similar projects that friends have dealt with, and a huge part of that was because of the way Refresh handles everything. The project was done on a fixed price contract that includes all design and compliance work. Our project was completed on-budget, with the exception of some drainage work that needed to be done for compliance and was tangential to the project.”
