Henry Dunham Building

Henry has been involved in the building industry for 20 years and has worked extensively in Australia and the UK, before migrating to New Zealand in 2005. Trained in Australia as a residential carpentry apprentice, he developed a passion for building. He developed his experience as a sub-contractor and started his first company in 1999. His skills were further expanded after four years in the UK working in a highly competitive building industry as a sub-contract carpenter and then as a contract manager on large, high-end commercial fit outs. Henry moved to Auckland in 2005 and set up Henry Dunham Building Limited. The goal was always very clear: to develop a company that prides itself on carrying out high quality architectural projects for exceptional clients. HD Building now has a team of 11 like-minded, dedicated staff and an archive of projects and awards. The goal of HD Building is now visual and tangible in the resulting projects, be they commercial or residential. The team’s focus is always on high-quality work, whilst also building lasting relationships with clients. HD building is a proud member of the Registered Master Builders Association with multiple Regional Gold awards and National Gold Reserve awards in the House of the Year competition. (2009-2017) Henry also has six years experience as a judge in the Registered Master Builders House of the Year competition. HD Building‘s attention to quality and craft has also been recognised through numerous awards in the registered Master Builders House of the Year competition including a National Category win in 2013 along with multiple Regional Gold awards and National Gold Reserve awards.
