Our property is a one hundred year old character home in need of a kitchen renovation. I wanted a modern updated kitchen, but was mindful that it must be in keeping with the character of the home. After looking at several designers, I chose Chelsey Mathieson from Niche Design in Tauranga, Chelsey listened to my brief and interpreted my ideas, adding vision, and design functionality. Flow in the kitchen area was a priority in the design, to assist in food preparation and cooking for family and friend gatherings. Chelsey is incredibly knowledgeable of products and all facets of kitchen detail with her vast understanding of what makes a beautiful kitchen and work space she created a timeless fabulous space to enjoy.

We engaged Chelsey to design our kitchen because we wanted that little bit 'extra', and boy did she deliver. Chelsey worked with us to incorporate our ideas into a design that had functionality and finesse. Her design skill meant that she was able to take our ideas and amplify them, finding clever solutions that we never would have thought of and gently steering us towards the right decisions when we suggested something that - looking back - would have looked weird. The details (large and small) that Chelsey incorporated have lifted it from what would have been a nice kitchen, to a designer kitchen. She helped us source a fantastic kitchen manufacturer, as well as fittings and appliances which saved us oodles of time and money. We loved working with Chelsey and we absolutely love our new kitchen. We thoroughly recommend Niche Design Co.

I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received from Chelsey whilst I was building my house. As a first time house builder the whole process was daunting and Chelsey made it so easy and effortless. I had no idea what I wanted or what to expect but with minimal appointments Chelsey sat me down, talked me through the process, listened, asked questions, gave advice and recommendations and then designed me the most KICK ASS kitchen EVER!
