“My fiancé and I were first time homebuyers in MD and pursued a renovation loan as part of our mortgage for our new home. Finding a professional, skilled, reasonably-priced, and experienced general contractor was not easy (especially finding one with expertise in the renovation loan process which requires upfront paperwork and information by the bank AND patience when it comes to payments for work completed). We had our share of disappointments and unexpected surprises in the search for a general contractor with renovation loan/mortgage experience to remodel the kitchen and master bathroom in our beautiful new home. But, then FINALLY (by sheer luck), we found Cosgrove and Sons. We could not have survived this stressful process without their help! Stephen and Lisa worked under stringent deadlines to submit all of the paperwork to the bank and were very responsive to our questions on the contract/work proposal. We closed on a Friday and that Monday Cosgrove and Sons were at the house to start the renovation work. Cosgrove and Sons are prompt, courteous, very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. They always made sure to clean up work areas before leaving for the day and disposing of waste/garbage/debris in designated areas. In other words, they respected our home and it showed; for this and all else, we were most appreciative. Stephen is incredibly knowledgeable and had great ideas for better utilizing the space in our kitchen and bathroom (which we adopted). Lisa was extremely helpful and responsive; she did a great job of informing us of scheduled inspections and deliveries for appliances and bathroom fixtures. She shopped around for fixtures and did her best to negotiate the best possible prices on our behalf (and correct me when I attempted to order items that wouldn’t work with our design plans). Stephen and Lisa were extremely patient and flexible throughout this process. For example, my fiancé wanted to do some of the remodeling work himself, e.g., the kitchen floors. Other contractors would not have been too happy with him doing some of the work but they did not mind at all (even when it delayed their work). We often had questions and Stephen and Lisa were always responsive to our inquiries. Cosgrove and Sons never kept us wondering or waiting. This greatly assisted in keeping our blood pressure at normal levels. :) Cosgrove and Sons showed up - no matter what. They stand by their work. They completed our renovation work in April. And when we noticed a couple of minor items that needed to be touched up as the house had settled, within a day, Cosgrove and Sons had sent someone to our house to address them. Cosgrove and Sons care and all of their efforts are in pursuit of our interests; creating a beautiful home. And, they do amazing work; the craftsmanship for our all wood custom kitchen cabinets was of a superior quality. We still receive compliments on our new kitchen and master bathroom. In sum, Cosgrove and Sons are fantastically wonderful! They genuinely want to do their best to build you your own Shangri-La. We highly recommend Cosgrove and Sons for all of your remodeling/general contractor needs!!”

“Total kitchen renovation extending kitchen area by removing the dining room and having an open concept layout to the living room area. Project was started on time and was completed in a reasonable time frame. Workers are professional and polite. As always in a major renovation project, you will run into some unexpected issues but the company will work with you financially and suggest recommendations to cut out extra costs at the same time overcoming any project issues. I will be hiring them again to do my next bedroom/bathroom renovations. I already have brought them back to extend my wood flooring into my basement.”
