Gareth has over 16 years experience working as a tiler and over 24 years working with natural stone and other forms of paving. Being mentored by some of the best in the industry, working largely in Christchurch, but also on commissioned projects throughout New Zealand. He has also worked briefly in California and with several years extensively tiling luxury homes throughout Colorado. He made a choice to settle on New Zealand's rugged West Coast 12 years ago to raise his family and enjoy the lifestyle. Gareth brings a unique set of skills and talents to the tiling and stonemasonry industries. His background initially stems from landscape design and construction serving an apprenticeship under his father, Ian Fryer. He has also served in several other construction trades to bolster his skill and knowledge base. His broad range of skills give him a unique versatility to find creative solutions to every problem. As an artizan he prides himself on the highest levels of workmanship and efficiency, and always aspires for the near impossible "perfect job". He has a passion for what he does, and this shows both in the work he produces and in his work ethic. As well as being a fully qualified and accredited waterproofer, He also has the team, the skills and the equipment to undertake and manage all aspects of a project from design, to project management.... to demolition, through to floor grinding, floor levelling, framing and wall lining installation and every step in between. Gareth is a Registered Master Tiler, at this time the only one on the West Coast. His wealth of experience, combining with a good eye for design can help to make your dreams become a reality.
