Pier, Fine Associates is a New York City-based architectural firm dedicated to the design of high-end residential apartments, corporate office spaces, retail stores and multi-family apartment buildings as well as academic and administrative buildings. We have used Pier Fine exclusively for our office build outs during various years, the most recent being 2012. The entire process is first rate from start to finish. Their designs carry forward beyond the year it is constructed. One of our floors were built in 2002 and to this day it still looks timeless, even keeping with what design is currently. We routinely get requests for contact information on whom designed our spaces. Overall very happy and will continue to use their service.

The architectural design provided by Woody Pier was very responsive to your needs and requirements. There were several moments in the process where we were able to improve it even more as conditions revealed themselves and Woody was very open to jumping into those opportunities. The final product is beautiful beyond what we hoped and expected. It became a gracious, inviting highly livable space. Absolutely transformed. The public agency review process was handled professionally and on time. Woody is completely savvy about "the ropes:". Bidding was transparent, the selection of a contractor easy. Woody is very easy to work with, gentle about letting us know when we were about to make a bad decision and helpful in guiding us to a better outcome. He works tactfully with all parties concerned on a job. He is a real pro. This is our second job with him and we would definitely use him again.

We used Pier Fine for two different renovations. Both times they did an excellent job and it was a very pleasant experience. Jeff Fine is a fantastic architect and project manager. He has a terrific aesthetic. Jeff made the whole renovation run smoothly and come in at cost and on time. Would highly recommend Pier Fine.

Pier Fine did a superb job handling my restoration/renovation of my 1886 house in Greenwich, CT. Working directly with Woody Pier we transformed a simple old farmhouse into and elegant, up to date estate with a lot of pizzazz to boot. We wound up relocating stairways, moving the master bedroom, adding three decks, transforming the mainly above ground basement into a family room and a huge office plus combining maids quarters into a spectacular kitchen. We also created a whole new architecturally sensitive entrance and the circular driveway leading up to it. We had to upgrade all systems and find a way to incorporate a steam bath, a double jacuzzi and dual sinks into tight quarters and yet remain elegant and understated. Woody was a pleasure to work with and was forceful when necessary. I really wasn't sure the pergola off the upstairs master bedroom was going to fit "the look" or be practical at all. Woody eventually convinced me and it truly became our favorite feature when all was said and done. The process was fun, creative and exciting. I would highly recommend the firm's services. I worked with Jeff Fine on a large apartment on Park Avenue in 2011 and then again in the last few months on a one bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side. Both were gut renovations. I couldn't have been happier with Jeff. He is calm, responsive and organized. The process in both instances went extremely smoothly and finished on time and on budget. I would work with Jeff again anytime.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a handful of Pier, Fine associates projects. The spaces are always so calming to be in and possess an understated luxury. The use of materials and quality of construction is second to none. A typical photoshoot averages 6 hours but I could spend hours and hours more photographing all the details that I always discover. Jeff and Arthur “Woody” invest themselves 100% into each project and that shows in the results and also the longtime relationships that they form with their clients.

Our project in required the connection of two apartments. Arthur Pier, of Pier Fine and his staff provided exceptional service. in the following ways: 1. Their designs accomplished what we wanted/needed and did so innovatively 2. PF brought us really good construction trade contractors. 3. PF managed the contractors well. 4.The job came in very close to budget.

Pier, Fine Associates oversaw the gut renovation of our apartment. Arthur Pier was clever, creative and detail oriented. Even though this was a small project for them we had his full attention. The subcontractors he used were amazing, especially the designer and the company that made the closets and wood pieces. He went out of his way to find a beautiful piece of marble for the bathroom.

Jeff designed and managed one major and one smaller office renovation and a gut renovation of a pre-war apartment for me, He is exceptionally creative, has excellent taste, knowledgeable about all manner of issues that are relevent from planning and design, to bidding the work out, to supervision and execution of the renovation; he is practical, works effectively with contractors, and responsive to client goals. His fees also are quite reasonable. Jeff came highly recommended to me, and I have recommended him to friends, who have been happy with his services. If the job is highly time-sensitive, it is important for the client to stay on top of the schedule along the way, as there are many opportunities for delay, and not so many to make up for unplanned delays, whether from client decisions or changes, contractors or otherwise

Pier Fine was the architect on the gut renovation of our apartment on the Upper West Side. We interviewed several firms and hired Jeff Fine based mostly on the recommendation of a friend who had a very positive experience with him. The job went exceedingly well. Surprisingly for a NY renovation the job came in within one week of being on time and also came in on budget. I attribute that to Jeff's foresight (he is able to see problems before they become problems), project management skills, and good interpersonal skills in working with our contractor and decorator. Jeff was able to walk us through each phase of the project -- conceptual design, detailed design, bid preparation, bid evaluation, project execution and punch list. He was helpful in recommending vendors for things such as appliances, kitchen and bathroom hardware, etc., and also helped design and implement in our apartment the first central air conditioning unit ever installed in our pre-war building. The finished product has been superb. We love our apartment. Jeff was able to create a great flow to the apartment by collapsing rooms and re-arranging walls, and also added so much additional space with his keen eye for design. There is no wasted space in our apartment. Most importantly, Jeff was very hands-on. He showed up at all of the weekly status meetings, knew all the details of the job, and was always accessible by phone or e-mail. We subsequently recommended Jeff to some friends for the gut renovation of their Park Avenue apartment. Jeff did a great job on their apartment and I know our friends are very happy with his work. In short, I would highly recommend Jeff and his firm, Pier Fine.
